“It's fine to me if you'll be my sister-in-law, Zyosei.” Souru said very seriously that I blinked.
“Huh? It won't happen, Souru.” I started and sighed pulling back my phone. “So how's the picture?”
He smiled at me genuinely. “Thank you, Sei. You sure have a hard time having it with you.”
I flush. “It's kinda easy actually.” that made Souru look at me with curiosity. “I just asked him once or twice. He's the one who pulled my phone to take a picture . . .yesterday.”
That earned an amazed reaction from Souru. “You two are close?”
I shook my head. “N— no.” we're not, right?
His lips formed an ‘oh’ and a grin. “You'll be.”
I shrugged at that. “The probability is low, okay? Now, let's get back to you. How are you here?”
Souru sighed sadly but plastered a small smile. “I'm doing fine just like my two years of stay here.” he looked outside. “But more hopeful and eager to say goodbye to my brother.”
I look at Souru sadly. “You will say goodbye to him soon, Souru.”
“Yup. Thank you.” he smiled at me with appreciation.
“You know what? You're so expressive unlike your brother.” I stated that made him chuckle. “You're so transparent like the clear waters while . . .”
“While?” Souru prompt teasingly.
I shrugged. “While your brother is like an ocean, deep, unstill, hard to see what's on within.”
“Like your wallpapers?”
I chuckled. “Yeah. I love oceans—”
“In your own words, Seikatu is like an ocean.” he teased but it's true.
I couldn't agree more. Seikatu really is like an ocean to me. Aside from being deep and unstill, he has that electric current when our eyes meet or when he's near or when our skin touches— accidentally. My subconsciousness says another thing but I pushed it to the back of my head and shrugged it off.
“Speaking of Seikatu.” Souru said. “How is he doing? I saw him here last week like he always does but looks happier.”
I smiled. “He visited you?”
Souru shrugged. “Indirectly, maybe.”
“He's doing good? I mean, I don't know? I'm not that close and also I'm not with him so often.” I tried to rephrase. I'm with Seikatu almost everyday, if it doesn't call often then I don't know anymore.
“Not so often but enough to have 264 photos and a video with him.” he chuckled.
“Drop it. He's the one who taps the capture button, okay?”
He smirked and sighed. “How I miss Kawachi Garden.”
“You like that garden?”
“Yup. I always went there before to have peace. This forest is so dull unlike the colorful flowers of Kawachi.”
I roamed my eyes around and couldn't agree more.
“Have you been there before?” he turned to me and wondered.
I shook my head. I've known about those places but haven't visited any. “I haven't got out of my little bubble.” bubble means my parents’ house, school, the usual recreating places.
“You should try going.” he encouraged me. “It will be helpful to you.”
I nodded. “Yeah, I guess.”
As time went on, my stomach started to crumble letting me know that I only ate Miso Soup. That also made me realize that I have to review my class lessons and all.
I sighed a very deep one that made Souru turn his attention to me.
“Will you be fine here, brother?”
“Are you going?” Souru assumed that I nodded. “I'll be. You might go.”
“Yeah. I'll see you soon again.” I stood up and he smiled.
“Take care, sister-in-law.” he said playfully and we parted ways as I walked out the forest and Souru went back to where he stayed. I wonder if ghosts sleep too?
I slept on the bus making me groggy when I set my feet on the grounds of Minato City. Yes, I'm going to McDonald's to eat and might study too.
Come one, Zyosei. There are a lot of cafe's, you knew why you went to this place. I talked to myself in my head.
Fine. I want to check on Seikatu too.
At the branch, I settled myself on the couch and buried my head on the arms on the table. It's so mannerless, I know but I suddenly felt tired.
I breathe in and out. This can't be a sudden mental breakdown, no. My day started well this can't be. No—
“You okay?” Seikatu's voice rang. I'm not hallucinating, am I?
Someone sat beside me, making me turn my head. “Are you okay?” he asked me and I looked down.
I breathe in and out again and look at Seikatu who has a worried look on me. “I'm fine.”
“Looks not to me.” he said and my stomach growled, making him frown. “You're hungry.”
“My . . .stomach is, not me.” I stated.
“What do you want to eat?”
I gulped and shook my head. I don't want to eat anything.
“What do you want to do, then?” he asked instead.
“I must study but I suddenly felt tired.” I said honestly and he sighed, staring at me.
“Sudden breakdown?” he asked and got my hand.
The current flowed at me with the contact and I felt alive making my stomach tingle. “What are you doing?”
He started massaging my hand using his and I squirmed because of it. “It can make you feel lighter and calm.” he said that my mind disagreed.
It makes me feel lighter because my cheeks are burning and it doesn't calm me. It makes my chest thump wildy!
“Feeling better?” he asked and I couldn't answer. I gulped again and stared at his hands on mine. This can't be real.
Seikatu stopped and looked at me. “You're red.” he pointed out and smiled. He smiled because I'm red!
“I want a Chicken meal.” I said out of the blue that I, myself, don't know why I say that.
Seikatu placed my hands on the table and stood up. “Coming, Ms. Kanasimi.” Then he walked towards the counter leaving me blinking my eyes repeatedly.
Just like that? Just like that and my breakdown got away? What is he?
Holy moly, he's a mood shifter!
