Chapter 10: Zhang Wei

Since that day Ruyi has been in house arrest. Since she comes to know that she is pregnant she has been abiding by the rules of her mighty husband. But it’s been months and today is the day of the Blood Moon so she needs to move her plans. She’s been idling since she becomes pregnant.

Zhang Wei didn’t let her do anything heavy except eating healthy foods. If Ruyi would walk he would carry her to her destination. He pampers her every day.

They are currently sitting in their living room.

“Zhang let me cook dinner for you and our baby. Just this once.” Ruyi asks his husband.

Zhang Wei then looks at her.” No, you don’t have to do anything. I can cook dinner for us”. Ruyi knows that her husband would insist to cook. So she decides that she will be the one buying the ingredients.

“Then let me buy the ingredients. Since I crave sweet and sour beef broth. I will bring Alen with me.” Ruyi tells Zhang Wei. But her man is ignoring her pleas.

So she shouted at him. “Zhang Wei if you don’t let me go then I will leave you forever.” This seems to awaken her husband’s stupor. He knows that her temper has been off the scales. 

There’s one time that he experiences being beaten by her wife. Just because he refuses to buy her ice cream at dawn. Ruyi throws all the objects in their room at him without restraint. Looking at her wife now who is looking very red and chubby because of her pregnancy. He thinks he looks like a panda.

“Okay, I agree but no more than 30minutes Ruyi. But I want you to know that if you’ll be late for more than a second. I will not let you out of this mansion after 7months."

 Zhang Wei is very protective of her safety since that day at the convention. Their stock value has increased that day. Since many investors would like to take part in the NanoTech project. But both their company did not need another party to join them since they can handle the expenses of the project.

 And his wife’s family is laying low away from the media. The news after the convention shocked all the citizens of the country. The center of the news is deadly silent towards the matter. No one knows what happens after the convention that’s why his been vigilant in protecting his family at all costs. He already sent his man to watch if there is any activity by the Chen family. But there’s no news regarding the family.

Ruyi knows what his husband's dilemma so she agrees to the conditions without arguing.

“Okay, hubby!” I’m all yours if I’ll be late. She knows that she needs to do this or her mission won’t be fully completed. She then goes to the garage and finds Alen waiting there with 10 bodyguards.

“Alen, is this all necessary?” She asks Alen. In Alen’s mind, it’s better to have the necessary preparations to avoid accidents. He knows how important their madam is to their boss.

“Madam the young master instructs us to do this” Alen replies while holding the door of the car so Ruyi could get in. The drive is only 10 minutes since they are driving a sports car. The other bodyguards are on the other cars.

5hrs before the Blood Moon.

In the grocery store. Ruyi is picking green vegetables. Alen is following her everywhere. In her mind.”Buttercup how much time I have left. I need to get in position. They can’t kidnap me you know. If I'm here surrounded by many bodyguards in the corner. 

[You’ve got 5minutes. Place yourself in the fruit stand left corner.] “If my child is harmed. I'm gonna kill you Buttercup.”Ruyi says to the system.

[Sure, bring it on.] Says the system in her mind.

After 5 minutes the whole store is surrounded by a black-masked man pointing a gun to Ruyis bodyguard. Fights ensued in the store, guns were blazing. The bodyguards are busy killing all the masked men. They fail to notice their madam that was hidden in the corner.

One of the masked men sneak up of Ruyi and covers her mouth with a cloth that makes her sleep instantly. The men then carry Ruyi to their car. Alen is a bit occupied at the moment since it was too late for him to notice their madam. He directly calls his master knowing that their life will vanish in a minute.

Zhang Wei is preparing the ingredients left in the kitchen. When he received the call from Alen.

Alen is out of breath. “Boss… the Madam…”. Zhang Wei didn’t let Alen finishes his word. He frantically leaps from the kitchen to the garage faster than the lightning.

He arrives later at the store. Alen looks at his boss. Looking like a lion ready for the kill.

Zhang Wei runs to Alen swinging his fist to the man. “What the f**k are you thinking Alen. I told you to guard her with all your life.” He says to Alen and all his bodyguards.

 Alen looking pale can’t seem to utter a word. He knows that his life is hanging by a thread. If they can’t find their madam.

“Find your madam. I will give you an hour or your heads will roll IF I don’t see my wife in the flesh.” Zhang Wei calls his spy. All the top assassins in the mafia have been alerted for the order to look for their madam.

An hour later.

Zhang Weis is in the mansion drinking whiskey. Waiting for a call from someone.

Ken calls his Boss.

“Boss told me last week that she has implanted a tracker in her body. If ever she gets kidnap, it is easy for me to trace her. But madam has only activated it after an hour. I can tell that she has been drugged and could only activate it when she’s awake.” Ken explains to his boss.

“Where’s the location?” Zhang Wei is in no mood for a friendly chat. So he coldly asks Ken.

“Boss the twins are there. They will protect the madam at all costs.” Ken says.

“Send the entire unit. Be stealth. No room for mistake.” Zhang Wei then cut the call.

Ken then commands all the units to use all the Nano Technology that their madam invented. It seems that his boss is ready to bath in blood for tonight if they don’t find their madam alive and well.

~At the Chen Mansion Underground~

Ruyi is tied to a pillar in a temple. She looks around and found out that the twin sister is here too. She can’t help but smile for the good show that was about to be played.

An hour later her father and mother showed up carrying two chalices the one that she saw in the file.

While her sister is smirking going towards her. They didn’t bring the masked men since they will now perform the sacred rites. Ruyi has already freed her hands from the rope that binds her towards the pillar so she directly hit her sister's pressure points.

“So this is your grand plan. No wonder you will fail at this moment since your all stupid.” Ruyi tells to her parents.

At the time all the masked men circles at Ruyi so they grab her. They didn’t notice the twins holding a Katana slashing all the masked men. Ruyis parents were flabbergasted by the outcome of their plan. They then join the fight. They are confused about the twins since when did the other one know how to learn to fight. Ruyi notices their confused expression. She then smiles and raises her bow and arrow saying.

” Oh, you dint know that they are just doubles.” At that time when she asks her husband to help her with something, this was what they’ve talked about. Ruyi then raises her phone and flash an image of Lily and Lilian at a beach. The photo has a timestamp and a date so it could not be mistaken as false. Ruyi then tells her so-called parents.

” Did you ever wonder why you have captured them easily in dark alleys or a deserted place.” The face of her parents was shocked then turn into madness. They speedily lunge at Ruyi. But Ruyi who is holding the bow didn’t even falter. She then releases two arrows towards her parent's hearts.

Her parents are laying at the ground waiting for death to collect them.

Ruyi then speaks to them “Greed is an imperfection that defiles the mind; hate is an imperfection that defiles the mind; delusion is an imperfection that defiles the mind. When one, abandoning greed, feels no greed for what would merit greed, greed gets shed from him - like a drop of water from a lotus leaf.”

The Blood Moon then passes to them like it was premeditated adversity to the Chen Family. Karma has bitten them hard and Ruyis revenge has been delivered.

Zhang Wei then arrives at the scene looking relief that his family is safe. But he didn’t forget that this was all Ruyis plan. So he quickly hugs her and says. 

“You are grounded for your whole life.” Don’t even argue about it." Zhang Wei feels it was the longest time of his life. It was suffocating and He was close in destroying everything in the house that’s why he quickly walks away from the mansion and vents his anger by driving fastly.

Zhang Wei then goes to the twins. “ Destroy everything in this area.” 

The twin quickly nods.” Yes Boss”

Ruyi looks around and found her unconscious sister.

 She then whispers to Zhang Wei. “Okay.”

Zhang Wei is very pissed by this incident. He wasn’t even sweet to Ruyi while talking to her. So Ruyi acts like a damsel in distress. “Zhang, I'm dizzy. Won't you help me.”

Zhang Wei can't help but loosen up. “Let's go to the mansion. I'll make sure to punish you.”

~At the mansion~

“Zhang I won't do it again. Ah, please stop.” Zhang Wei is pounding on his wife gently but not letting her come.

Ruyi pleads to his husband. “Just let me come. Hubby, Ah, hmmph, ah.”

But Zhang Wei is still giving her the silent treatment.

They have been going at it for hours. The maids in the mansion understand their master's temperament. Their madam is pleading, shouting, and moaning at the same time since they got inside their room. They can only pity their madam situation.

At dawn, the mansion goes quite. That is because the couple's activity in the bedroom has stopped.

“Sleep, my love. This will be your punishment if you insist on going on your own in the future.” Ruyi is now sleeping. Zhang Wei can see her tiredness.

Alen and the bodyguards are relocated currently for their punishment somewhere in a deserted Island with wild animals for one month.

~After 7months~

At the hospital.

Ruyi gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Zhang Wei is very happy upon gazing at her precious daughter. Their daughter looks like her mother with round green eyes. While holding Ruyis hands and the other one is holding a baby boy.

Zhang Wei looks at her wife lovingly. “My love thank you for this wonderful gift and your pain. I'll be the greatest father that6 the world would ever know.” He looks like he would cry at any moment.

Ruyi then wipes his tear. “It’s a wonderful experience, my love. I would not exchange for anything.”

The twins, Lilian and Lily visit together with their doubles. Each one of them paired up.  Their doubles the one who was with Ruyi. Followed the real twins in their vacation and courted them. Aiden and Aidan find them stunningly beautiful while one is strong and the other one is the complete opposite. They explain to them what has happened during the occurrence of the blood moon. Lilian then calls Ruyi if anything they say was true and can be trusted. Ruyi that time is strolling in the garden when Zhang Wei hands her phone to her. She then confirms what the twins say and they happily chatted. Lillian is glad that they’ve met Ruyi who helps them in their times of need.

Ruyi and Zhang Wei are happy receiving the news of the twins and their partner. While Alen and the bodyguards have returned to the mansion after months of their punishment. They are happy that their Boss didn’t kill them instead. Their Boss just put them in an Island full of wild animals.

The Mo family has decline themselves for any involvement towards the Chen family.

The female lead was sent to the Asylum and Ruyi adopted her child. It was a baby boy. Zhang Wei agrees to his wife since the child has no fault being born in the wrong circumstances.

Ruyi and Zhang Wei live a long life but the heart of Ruyi starts to weaken since she is born that way. She can only bid a proper goodbye to her family and awaits her timely death.

In the hospital.

“Zhang, I will go any minute now. Find me in our next life.” Ruyi knows that whatever they had in this world is beyond her imagination. Experiencing love, friends, and family the thing that she didn’t have in her previous life. She can only hope that in her next mission his husband would be there.

That day Zhang Wei feels empty. He silently prayed that in his next life he would see his wife. By the next day, his children found him in their master bedroom dead. holding a picture of his wife in the garden smiling lovingly.

His children understand their father’s resolve since they can see that their father loves their mother passionately.
