CHAPTER 20
I feel the breath whoosh out of my lungs as Kane's wolf's eyes stared at me. His wolf's eyes were a molten gold and I stared spellbound into them. The sounds and smells of the forest I all seemed momentarily suspended. It was as though we were the only people on earth.
Kane's wolf was a gigantic midnight black with patches of brown on it. His fur grew long, thick and luxuriant. I felt like looking for an excuse to run my paws through it but his strong front paws pinned me to the ground like a bug on a card. I had to transform quickly. In this form, Kiara was stronger and her instincts to submit to Kane wholeheartedly was overriding my will power. Kane and I must have been lying there for a few seconds already. I could feel Kiara's need already getting through.
