Chapter 16
Alicia blew in like a whirlwind the following morning. Russell was finishing breakfast. Cody fed Joey, and Moe was trying to make short work of his newest toy. Peter had finished dressing when the buzzer sounded to indicate a visitor. He didn’t even have to use the intercom to know who it was. Only one person ever buzzed like that. He stood by the door and at the first knock he pulled it open and wrapped his sister in a huge hug.
Moe came over to investigate, followed by Cody. Russell was still feeling a bit off, but he smiled to see the siblings interact. Once she released Peter, Alicia squealed and wrapped poor Cody in a hug. Moe seemed a bit disgruntled to be the last to get attention. He was well past the peeing-in-excitement stage of puppyhood.
