Chapter 7-2

704 Words

Russell finished puttering around the condo and decided to grab a short nap before Peter got home. Feeling guilty for liking all the attention his lover showered on him, Russell decided to prepare dinner. He left a message for his father to join them if he wished. He planned to take his dad to his office, then to the clinic, to meet all the wonderful people he cared about. He heard the door, but after a few minutes of silence, he called out. “Hey, is that you, Peter?” He heard a scrabbling sound, like fingernails clicking on the hardwood floor, saw a tiny blur tear in through the bedroom door, heard yipping, and saw a tiny nose bouncing up and down. The puppy was trying to jump up on the bed. Peter and George stood in the doorway, grinning. The smiles faded and they looked at each other.
