Part 1
"I do not need it. I do not want my hands to be stained with blood." The girl said, while a man came to her with a gun. "The world in front of you now is full of evil plots, lies and traps." The man said to the girl. "Your heart must be like a stone, you must be strong, stoic." He added. The girl just sat there hugging her mother after the bomb blast. Her mother came to her school to deliver her now forgotten food, but she didn't know that this will be the outcome of her mother's effort to take care and love her. She and her mother were the only two left in their family. She never imagined that a day would come when her mother would leave her while she was still on her lap. "How can I go against this evil world? I don't have the strength to fight," she said. She was just a simple college girl. "They've taken all that is important in my life!" She said louder but once again she slumped weakly as she continued to cry and hug her mother's slowly growing cold body. Many died because of the blast, there were bodies scattered all around them. Screams and wails from the people who love them dominated the air. "It's not the last time you will experience this kind of suffering. You can fight, you must fight, in order to rid this world of all the evil it harbors." Her breath hitched, her heart started beating fast, she can feel the adrenaline pumping inside her body when she heard what the man once again said. She clenched her fists and forced herself to look at the sky. She saw how the sky was slowly turning to black, she took a deep breath and slowly closed her brown eyes. After having a time for herself, she opened her eyes and saw how the people who survived swore and promised revenge for all the lives lost in that tradegy. Ten years have passed after that fateful day. "Terrorists have already occupied this region, so we will be focusing on the regions they have not touched yet," a booming voice announced inside that spacious room. The imposing man swept his gaze around the people occupying the meeting room, "Lieutenant Anna Sylvain!" Anna jolted at her commanding officer's voice and immediately stood up. It was clear as day that Commander Juan Sebastian was not happy to see one of his men sleeping during the briefing. "Sir!" Anna gave a salute to the commander and stood there stiffly. "Lieutenant, I do not appreciate you or any of you sleeping in the midst of a briefing. It is a clear disrespect of my authority and your profession to do so. Now repeat what I have said a while ago, Lieutenant." The commander said with authority in his voice. Anna looked at the other men inside the room but only saw them looking down because they were afraid of their commander. Anna had no choice so she closed her eyes and thought of what the commander has said. "Terrorists have already occupied this region, so we will be focusing on the regions they have not touched yet," Anna answered as she opened her eyes, she even imitated the commander's voice with a grin earning her shocked looks from her colleagues. The other men wanted to speak but they decided not to since Anna was one of their most skilled operative. She possesses intelligence and fearlessness that is unmatched among their team. They knew that she can handle the commander. "Which region?" The commander asked with furrowed brows. "Sir, you did not say which region. You only said that, I must repeat what you said a while ago, that's what I heard Commander Sebastian," sharp intakes of breath was heard all around the room at the way how Anna answered. Everybody knew thet the Commander hated to be called by his second name. The commander's jaw tensed, "Get out! All of you out!" His voice reverberated inside the room. "You, stay." He pointed at the Lieutenant. All stood up and filed out of the room leaving the both of them. "You brat! You will join my team in our mission. Let's see how far your courage is." Commander Juan Sebastian ordered. "Whatever mission you will throw at me, I will complete and surpass them all, Commander." She smirked in front of her Commander. Commander Juan just sighed, "you need to prepare for this mission because it will not be easy. It can measure your courage to fight for our country." He showed a gun to Anna and extended it to her. A sudden memory flashed by her with the action. She remembered Commander Juan's father, he was the one who helped and encourage her to become stronger. She slightly shook her head and paid attention to what was happening in front of her now. "Commander, I am not using a gun, if I want to kill a person. I use my words to kill them inside." Anna boldly declared as she stared at her Commander's eyes without flinching. With that declaration, Commander Juan only raised an eyebrow in amazement, "let it be then Lieutenant Anna Sylvain."
