Okay, so this week has been fun. We didn’t see much of Beta Brent but Alpha Rashawn did come hang with us a few days while we were there. He actually does seem like a decent guy. We even exchange phone numbers to stay in touch. I think we can be friends.
This week I took in so much information. I even enjoyed being in the training facility and working on different defensive and offensive fighting techniques.I have never been a fan of our basic warrior training in our pack. I only did the required training there, but here it was fun. I think being in a class with other hybrids like me is what made it that way.
Sierra even enjoyed showcasing her skills. We were told that it’s not even until we find our mates that we will be able to see our full potential, but we learned in class that a siphoning wolf has the ability to pull from another’s life force. The strongest recorded wolf siphoned and killed a whole army by himself. I hope it will never come to that for me and I have no plans on even experimenting on my powers in that way.
I was given a training routine that I am able to do when I get back home in my pack. I was also given information about a training facility in Oklahoma that I can apply to after I finish schooling if I’m interested in refining my strengths. Many hybrids are warriors at the headquarters in New York for council. I think I will do the home training, but I’m not a fighter like Tia.
Tia comes from a family of pack warriors. She’s very skilled in combat and, although she’s only 16 and only now able to begin warrior training. She has been sneaking and attending training since she was 12 with her parents. She plans on applying for The Elite Warrior Training Academy in Texas after school. Her added bonus was meeting and developing a crush on Corey.
Corey isn’t a warrior, but if accepted for the training program and qualifies as a member of the council trainees, he will need to spend a year's time at both facilities in Texas and Oklahoma as well as complete an undergrad in public relations. He’s hoping to be accepted to the University of North Texas, so he won't be far from both the Warrior Training Academy and his friend Domenic, who is hoping to be accepted to the warrior training in Oklahoma.
Janet’s father has a finance background and her mother does interior design. She didn’t find an interest in either of those but fell in love with the culinary arts classes. Let me tell you. We fell in love with her love of the culinary arts. One night, she made the most delicious dinner for us all, with everything from an appetizer to dessert made from scratch. She’s planning on attending a culinary institute not far from home in Pennsylvania.
I just wish I was as certain of my future plans as my friends. I’ve enjoyed all of the different programs and classes we have had here so far, but nothing has really stuck out. I'm expected to declare a career path by next year’s convention, so I still have time. That will just take away from my time period of preparation completing any prerequisites that may be necessary before applying for my career choice. Just to be on the safe side, I think I will begin doing a little of everything for every career choice and maybe in the process I’ll figure out my career path.
