Hell was Closer Than she Realized
Talon recognized Lacey’s voice and made for the house before they got there. He was standing on the balcony with Aggie and Reed when they rode up. The look on Lacey’s face made Aggie smile. The only word she could think of was radiant. She looked radiant to Aggie.
“Hey,” said Talon. ”Good to see you guys. You just out for a ride, or was you planning to stop by?”
“You should stay for supper,” Aggie called down from the balcony. “We have plenty.”
“Wasn’t planning to,” said Louis, ”but if Lacey wants to I suppose we can.”
