Phase I; VI

I; VI The sun was shining at its full capacity as though it desired to burn deep into my flesh. The clouds were remotely visible as I looked up at the tall building in front of me. The building I was staring at was the old museum in Highland View. It surely looked like it has seen better days. The cracks on the paint were too numerous to count and the windows looked as though we were in the Sahara with its brown stained color. All in all, the building looked as though it could collapse any moment from now. Remind me again, what am I doing here? I frowned. 'Just go in and I'll tell you what you need to do' Aleka ordered. I don't feel good about this at all. I took my first step into the stairs that led me into the museum. I nearly tripped over from a c***k on the floor. The inside was quite alright compared to the outside. There was a large golden globe placed at the center of the building which was the spectacle of the museum. There were a few paintings on the wall, and some other items placed in a small box. "Good afternoon and welcome to Highland Museum" the receptionist smiled at me. "Thank you," I said sheepishly as brought a few dollars from my purse and handed it to her. "Here you go" she handed me a paper to put around my waist. I put on the paper bracelet as I walked into the museum. It wasn't as crowded as I expected it to be. There were just a few people here and there with some staff members. Okay, so what do I do? I asked Aleka. 'Go inside that room. The one by your left' she said. I went inside the room to see another section of ancient collections inside different glass boxes. There was a stern sign that said 'Touching is not allowed' in bold red writings. The people here were more than the ones outside and there were murmurs as they all feasted their eyes on the jewelry. Seems like here's the real spectacle of the museum. I walked down the aisle as I swiped my eyes over the jewelry inside the boxes. Each one of them has a different shape, color and history. "Wow" I couldn't help but let out. 'No time to drool over junk! Move down to the last box!' Aleka snapped. I huffed and walked down to the last box in the room. A gasp left my mouth as I saw the breathtaking piece of jewelry inside the box. It was an octagon Sapphire-shaped jewel with small silver intricacies all over the surface. There was a spiral at the center of the piece and it looked extremely precious. I looked down at the golden name tag. It read 'Jewel from Afthonia; A lost fantasy world' Fantasy? I scoffed. I'm sure they found it in a nearby market or something. How can this be from a Fantasy world?! 'You know nothing' I felt like she was shaking her head at me. Okay, here's the jewel, you've seen it. Now can we go? 'You're not going anywhere' I ran my hand through my hair. What do you want me to do? Take a picture and post it on **? I was starting to get impatient. I have loads of assignments to do! 'Tell me, dear Andronika. Have you stolen before?' she asked. What do you mean by that? I gulped. 'What I mean is you're going to steal this jewel now' I did a double-take. I'm sorry, what?!!
