Cassie had quickly made her way across town to Miss Maggie’s shop with plenty of time to spare before it closed. She hesitated when her hand hit the door handle. The events of earlier in the day were still fresh in her mind, and Cassie was still reeling on some level after what had happened. She took a deep breath and yanked the door open, causing the little bell above the entrance to jingle.
