Getting to know each other

Dante isn't sure where to start the conversation about how she doesn't know her name and why she was naked at the entrance wall. He looks over at Michael while she puts on her clothes behind a tree after our run. We mind-link to discuss how to go about this. We ask her if she wants to sit outside on the porch so we can talk and get some air while we figure out what is going to happen next. She looks at me and says yes, we go sit down and get comfortable. I looked at her and asked her what the last thing she remembered was? She looks at me and says," I woke up and saw both of you staring at me. "I smile, and she smiles too. Good start. She's not running and screaming.

OK, I asked her, "Do you know where you're from? "How did you get to our border?" We are in a desert, and far away from the next town." She thought for a minute, scrunched her nose, and shook her head no. She just tells us again that the only thing she remembers is waking up and seeing us standing there looking at her. This is going to take a while. I look at Michael and then ask her if she would like to relax upstairs, and then say, "We will figure everything out as soon as we can. " She nods, gets up, and walks upstairs.

Michael and I wait until she gets upstairs and locks her door before we start talking. I asked Michael, "What do you think we should do to help her remember? Should we just give it a couple of days and get to know her? Maybe she'll remember something as the days go by, hanging out with us. Like jog her memory. I really want to know her name. I've been feeling strange around her. I'm not sure what's happening, but I've seen a similar look on Michael's face. I hope she's not his mate because I have a feeling she's mine.

I've waited a long time to find my Luna, and she would be perfect. Maybe we can plan a movie night or special dinner. We'll talk to her tomorrow and see if she wants to do something with us. I hope Michael winds up being her friend. I think she will need one. I guess we'll see how things go soon enough.

Halen is in her room deep in thought, wondering who she is. She guesses she has amnesia because they keep asking her questions she should know the answer to, but she doesn't. What is her name? Where is she from? How did she get here?

As the minutes go by, she realizes it doesn't matter right now. Her memories will come back eventually. It is time to get to know these two men and figure out what I'm going to be doing while here. After a little while, she gets up and goes to look for Dante. She finds him in his office, knocks on the door, and waits for him to look up and acknowledge her.

He looks up and smiles and asks, "How are you settling in?" Halen responds quietly, "Okay I guess." He then asks her, "Have you gained any memories yet? "I would like to know what to call you." Halen looks at him and frowns, "No, not yet, but you can pick a name to call me for now." Dante smiles and says, "How about angel?" She smiles and nods her head. Halen excuses herself and goes to her room. Feeling tired, she lays down and takes a nap. Halen begins to dream of running in the desert as she is being chased. When she turned her head in the dream, she was being chased by wolves.

Halen screams out loud, and Dante and Michael come running, ready to break down the door. They stop and listen carefully, hearing her breathing fast, and they turn the knob and walk in. She is lying on the bed, tossing and turning, sweating, and in anguish. We realize right then that she is dreaming. We hang around for a minute to make sure she's OK and turn to leave when she starts talking. It seems she is talking to herself, saying," I have to keep running until I reach that building. If they catch me, they will hurt me. Keep moving, Halen."

So that's her name, Halen. It suits her, unique just like her. We can't wait till she wakes up so we can tell her what we know. She starts to stir and opens her eyes, looks around, and her eyes land on mine. She is staring at me and asks,"Why are you in my room?" I tell her we were checking on her, and then I say,"How was your nap?" She says that she had a dream, and it made her memories come back. Almost like magic, it all just came flooding back. She looks excited to remember, and I can't wait to tell her we know her name. It's Halen.

We ask her if she wants to go shopping to celebrate remembering. She laughs and says ,"Um, yeah, that would be awesome." We go outside and get in the truck and take her to the mall. As we're walking around and picking a*****e, we make a deal with her that she needs to model for us so we can give her an opinion, and then she can decide on what to buy based on how she looks. She shops for everything she needs, and she models for us laughing. It's good to see her happy. We pay for everything, and we leave to carry it all to the car. Her stomach growls, so we laugh and go to the restaurant down the street. When we get to our booth, the waitress comes over to get our orders. While we wait for our food, we talk and learn more about each other.

As we eat and talk, we notice people starting to come over to our table. They want to see the Alpha and Delta and talk to us. So I asked them if they would wait until council next week so we could finish our dinner. They all agreed, apologized, and then left waving. We finished eating and got up to leave. We headed outside to the truck and drove back home. When we arrived at the pack-house, we all said good night, and Halen thanked us, and then we went to our rooms. Halen took a shower and relaxed, then got into bed. Tomorrow looks promising, and she can't wait to find out more about her new friends.

Dante is in his room trying to relax but keeps thinking about Halen. They have to talk to her about the invisibility thing and the mate thing. It is going to be an interesting day, for sure. I'm glad to have Michael there for support and to explain things too. It is probably going to be confusing for Halen at first, but we'll try to make it easy for her to understand who she is to us, my mate and her best friend.

Michael is in his room thinking about Halen and Dante. They are mates, and she will be his Luna. Now, he just has to help Dante explain it to her and help her understand what she means to them. Michael is grateful that she is warming up to him, and they seem to be best friends already. He is glad that he will be there for Dante because he has been searching for her for a while, and he doesn't seem to think this is real. It's time to rest, and we can think about all of this tomorrow.
