Brendan's POV
"What do you know about this?" Yasmyn asked me when it was just us both in her office.
"I swear I don't know a thing!!" I told her and she raised her eyebrow at me, probably wondering how much of what I say is the truth.
I don't blame her though. She just came to know that her family is being poisoned with something that comes from my pack's laboratory. She is bound to ask me this question despite the trust I built here.
"Do you think your father is involved?" She asked me again.
"I don't know," I said and I am actually telling her the truth.
"Fill in the blanks, Brendan. My brother stopped purchasing those poison. He even cancelled the entire trading thing. So it's only fair that your father was butt hurt," Yasmyn said.
I nodded but there was a loophole there.
