As I arrive at the school with minutes to spare I drink the last of my latte. It was so good. I done a mental body assessment whilst I waited my core still throbbing. I was delectably sore. Jack was alot of fun and kinda ace in the bedroom. And without him wanting to pull a Ryan I could deal with friends with benefits. That would mean one or two less times to find fun each week. Although my legs were aching it was worth it two days and I could almost feel optimistic that it could be working or might atleast kick start everything else into gear. I sweat more riding these guys than I did riding my bike or my exercise bike. It was ridiculous. A grin spreading over my face as I walk to the door to collect my daughter and she jumped into my arms and I caught her laughing "mummy!" She shrilled "I missed you!" "Aww I missed you too my little butterfly" I said as I popped her on the nose and she giggled I put her down as we walked out of the school and she told me all about her day. She was just finishing telling me how she had got a red card because Eric had been pulling her hair and wouldn't stop so she punched him as we reached the gate. "Oh Cassie!" Her teacher called out in her shrill irritating voice "we need a word" we both stopped and I looked at Mrs Rabbit "yes" I said sharply she pulled out the card and waved it in my face whilst pulling an overly sad face and began with her disappointed sad voice "we had a bad day today didn't we Lily" it was sudden but I was no longer Cassie I was Jez now and Jez was pissed. "No 'we' didn't have a bad day today" Jez said her voice raised whilst air quoting the 'we' with her fingers. " 'we' had a fantastic day because today is the day that my daughter stood up for herself against a bully" Eric was constantly starting on my daughter and she was constantly getting in trouble for it. I had enough of their bull. So had Jez and she wasn't going to put up with it anymore. Mrs Rabbit looked shocked and took a step back "t..that kind if behaviour i..is not acceptable here" Mrs Rabbit stammered. Her voice shrinking. Jez looked through her, her eyes cold and steeled she was angry. "Oh defending yourself against a bully who is continuously hurting you isn't acceptable behaviour and what pray tell has been done to Eric for his deplorable behaviour?" "No..nothing he's n...not the one who h..hit" she stammered thuther. Jez was pissed everyone who was in the playground must of heard her "how DARE you punish my child for DEFENDING herself and do NOTHING to Eric when he was picking on her REPEATEDLY beforehand MY DAUGHTER has already told me what she did today and she is not going to be in trouble for not letting a boy pull her hair and DISRESPECT her" Jez was seething and her voice carried far everyone had heard and Mrs Rabbit apologised not that it mattered as once Jez said my piece I had already turned to leave with Lily "let's get ice cream baby for a job well done" I said the smile reaching my voice as I felt myself come back. Lily laughed "yay thankyou mummy" she squealed excited. I was proud of my daughter not letting anyone bully her and when we got to Kim's place I let her chose her treat and looking at all the treats my stomach growled. I was hungry. s**t. I couldn't eat here or I couldn't purge. It was a compulsion at this point... something I had to do. Kim looked over at me and said "incoming" I looked over to where she looked and saw Tina Eric's mum coming towards me I looked to Kim and said "can you watch Lily quickly please?" She nodded and I went outside instantly I knew I would need Jez back again. This wasn't going to end well. Jez stood tall as Tina stormed up to her unfazed. Tina started screaming and mouthing off but Jez wasn't listening she was just looking at her nails and started laughing. "WHAT THE f**k ARE YOU LAUGHING AT" Tina screamed. Jez looked her dead in the eye and stated with zero humour in her voice completely dead pan "You. You come marching over her to kick off at me about my child's reaction to your child's behaviour. No wonder your child is nothing but a bully when all he's got is a fat ass like you for an example just throwing your weight around." She went to interrupt me but I held out my hand with one finger raised to silence her " I'm not finished yet. You come over here throwing your weight around screaming shouting acting like a rabbid animal how about you pull my hair like your son did my daughter and I'll punch you in your face like she did him and when the police over there see let's see who they arrest first because it certainly won't be me. Teach your son not to assault girls and my daughter won't have to teach him a lesson the hard way." She continued her screaming swearing cursing and Jez refused to acknowledge any of it she looked and Tina everyone watching could see from the lack of interest evident on her face that she was not bothered. The police approached cautiously behind and a smile played on Jez's face. "Good afternoon officers" she said with a blinding smile. "Afternoon ladies" the tall one said with a note of authority in his voice Tina shut her mouth quickly Jez lapped it up. "What seems to be the problem here?" He continued. Jez looked at him and strolled purposefully over to him and put her arm confidently around his shoulder and began "settle an argument for us officer gorgeous if I was to be unproked and pull someone's hair and they was to turn around after asking me to let go and me not having let go within a reasonable time turn around and punch me in the face would I get in the wrong or them?" The officer looked at me and then looked at Tina a smile tugging at his lips "the hair puller because forceful touching without consent is assault the puncher would just be defending themselves" Jez smiled like a cat that just ate the canary and pecked the officer on the check "why, thankyou officer?" " Carter, Alex carter" he said as he shook Jez by the hand firmly blushing at her boldness. Tina started to slowly back away. Not a chance. Jez cleared her throat "um not a chance come back here now. your son owes my daughter an apology and you owe me one too thankyou very much!" Jez's voice was clear and stern. She looked like she was about to argue when officer Carter intervened "you can either apologise or we can arrest you for breach and disturbance of the peace we heard your vulgar language" she looked furious and I tried not to laugh "fine" she grumbled I nodded to Kim and she brought Lily out Tina made her son bite the bullet and apologise and went to walk away after. Jez was still here and wasn't letting her off easy. "If your kid can do it so can you and you better do a better job of it so you can set a future example for your son" Jez's voice was stern but clear she halted and turned around fear in her eyes as she realised that a 26 year old was more powerful and more authoritive than that of her own 46 year old ass. "I'm sorry" she grumbled. "I can't hear you speak up and speak clear" Jez commanded. She obeyed "I'm so sorry" Tina spoke monotone completely defeated. She walked away Jez turned to pc Carter "Why thankyou for you assistance officer Carter" she practically purred and he blushed looking him in the eyes Jez asked "would you like to go for a coffee when your not on shift?" He nodded curtly and she grinned and leaned in close to whisper "bring the handcuffs" and winked as she pulled back taking a pen and paper out of my bag writing my number down for him to keep. Oh boy Jez is insatiable I muttered to myself inside my head as she walked away with swaying hips knowing he was watching her leave. Inside I come back to myself blushing furiously as I thank Kim and buy food for me and Lily. I felt faint. As we waited at the tables outside I felt myself sway my head spinning my adrenaline now dissipated. My stomach growled at me and my hands shook. I tried to sip my coffee hoping the nauseating feelings would go. But they didn't. As Kim approached with the food I stood to try to go and get it but as I took my first step I realised my mistake. It wasn't just dizziness. It was a sugar crash entirely. All I had today was 2 lattes and the starting sip of a hot coffee. I hadn't had my slim fast shakes they're typically what got me through. And as my body hit the pavement all I heard was Lily screaming "mummy!"
