I groaned softly as my eyes opened. I felt weird. Gage was at my side, and I was lying in a hospital bed. I tried to sit up, but Gage reached out to put a hand on my chest. "Don't try to get up. Just rest." He said gently. I lifted my hand and noticed the IV in my arm. "It's for the pain," Gage said to my side. He ran his fingers through my hair gently. "I feel weird." My voice came out scratchy and weak. Gage frowned softly at that. I reached up with my hand to touch my neck. I felt the bandages wrapped around my skin. Gage's eyes flashed with anger for a moment. "Do you want me to call the nurse?" He asked and I shook my head softly. "I'm thirsty." My voice squeaked softly as I spoke. Gage shifted and walked towards the door. "I'll get you some water." He said as he left. He returne
