The Keeper

"Princess Kyra"a voice called out to me in the hallway. I looked back to see who it was but no one was there. I could have sworn I heard my name been called but still no one was there. I immediately started to get chills and unnecessary goose bumps. I looked forward and continued walking.  The voiced called out my name again. I looked back and immediately I saw my twin sister hiding behind the castle hallway pillar.  I chuckled softly and slowly tiptoed towards tthe pillar. " Booo" I shouted loudly and immediately Kira jumped out in fear and started laughing as she saw me. I joined in and started laughing as well. " You got me" she said still laughing. " I was heading to the library and I saw you and I decided to give you a scare but you have me the scare" she concluded finally letting go of the laughter.  " I'm also heading there as well" I told her. We both walked down the hallway laughing till we entered the library.  The library was a very huge ballroom like place but with books everywhere. History books, science books, mysterious books, letters, articles, shakespeare's works and just everything books you wanted could be found there.  Kira wore a brown leather bag to keep the books she needed to take. We walked in and continued searching the library for books to read. Kira decided to climb the ladder to search for the books we wanted.  Suddenly, a book dropped and papers fell messing up everywhere so I and Kira decided to stop and sort out the mess. The book was dusty old and big.  On it was a picture of our castle, the book had been so old that the name had gone off. We picked up all the papers and arranged the book not even bothering to check it's content nor what was written inside the book.  Kira was to climb up the ladder and put the book back on the shelf and I was to help her with it. As Kira wanted to put the book back on the shelf, a piece from the book flew down right on the floor. Surprised, Kira kept the book on the shelf and we both wanted to know the content of that piece.   I helped her down the ladder and she went ahead to pick up the piece of paper on the floor. I decided to move the ladder back in place.  " Kyra you need to see this"Kira called me. Her voice sounded surprised and not quite well. I hurried over to see what was surprisingly making Kira this shocked.  It was the piece of paper. It had something written on out not an article but something else. I collected the paper from her and decided to read it. On it says:                 December 1st 1776                         • The keeper                        • The jewel room                        • Room 2045                       • Room 5067                       • The jewel room                      • The magistrate court                      • The castle's celler ...........The castle may fall apart. After reading, I felt shocked as well. I had never heard of the keeper nor the jewel room or even the magistrate court. The rooms in the castle had never been numbered and I never knew about the castle's celler.  This was a new discovery but why did the writer say" the castle may fall apart". I knew immediately that something was wrong.  I heard footsteps in the hall way and I quickly folded the paper and kept it in Kira's bag. I decided to pretend I was looking for something and Kira did same.  The doors immediately swung open and my mum entered with two guards at her back." Hey mum " I greeted her as she entered. "Kyra and surprisingly Kira what are you doing in here alone" she asked because she knew that Kira doesn't usually go to the library  and I usually don't come to the library without guards. "Well mum, I and Kira made up a new life resolution to read books and get more knowledge that's why we are in the library" I lied and Kira backed me up in it. " Yes mum"she lied as well. " Alright dear" my mum said as she finally cleared the curiosity written all over her face.  "I just want to practice a few notes on my piano and I don't know if it's fine if I did that here with you reading" she said expressing her concerns. " No mum" i quickly interrupted.  " We'll just head back to our rooms so you can practice your notes" I concluded holding Kira's hand. " Bye mum" I said as I flung the doors open dragging Kira behind and went out of the library.  We ran through the hallway and across the stairway to our room. " That was close" I said locking the door shut behind me.  Kira brought out the paper and laid it on the study table.  I read it again and my mind was immediately flooded up with different thoughts.  What was the magistrate court and the castle's celler?  Who was this keeper?  Where was the sorcerer's place or even the jewel room?  Who numbered rooms ?  I decided to go out and search for clues.  "Kira" I called out to my sister. "I need some clues to all this stuffs and you know plenty people in this castle so who can I ask" I concluded using pleading eyes on my sister.  " Thats too much pleading" Kira replied smiling. "Well you can meet Aunt Grace to tell you, she's a bit cranky sometimes but she'll tell you all you need to hear" she concluded.  " Oh...Thank you Kira" I exclaimed giving my sister a huge hug. " That's too much Kyra" Kira commented. "Oh....sorry" I said releasing her.  Well Kira was not much of a hugger so she didn't like it that well when I hugged her.  Immediately I carried my note pad and my fluffy pen , kept it in my hand bag and  went out of the room. I needed to get to the bottom of this. " Kyra" a voice called out to me in the hallway.  I turned around and this time Kira was not hiding. " Take some sandwiches in case" she said handing me the sandwiches in a Ziploc bag. She hugged me tight.  Immediately she released me I started laughing.  " What" she said staring at me. " Well I thought you hated hugs" I asked her. Kira suddenly started laughing.  " Well when I need to hug someone really special to me...I do it in a special way" she said smiling at me in awe.  I hugged her and continued walking down the hallway.  My sister really cared about me but right now something needed to be solved.
