YUVRANI

Adisha's POV:

It's been years since I became the chosen candidate for the Queen. Now I'm of 16, already the wedded princess, the Yuvrani of Jaipur. My days are quite peaceful here, my in laws are like my parents and I found a great friend in my husband.

Everyday we practice fencing together, we study and debate on political matters. Apart from that we gossip a lot. I feel really loved here, everything feels like a dream. Uday seems like one of those main characters out of any fictional novel.

After that miserable day when my world turned upside down I never thought anything can be normal again but here I'm today happy and content. I never thought I could again find happiness and share anything and everything with my dear Yuvraj, my husband.

Sakhi, my best friend and my attendee since my childhood would always tease me about him. Though sometimes she says he looks kind of egoistic but maybe that's just because of his age, hence I ignore it.

I was too engrossed in my thoughts when..

Suddenly the guards announced his presence in my chamber,"YUVRAJ UDAY PRATAP SINGH RAJPUT, YUVRANI ADISHA DEVI KE KAKSH MEIN PADHAR RAHE HAI!"

We were living in different rooms though we were wedded to each other because we haven't been of the age to stay together.

On hearing his arrival there was an instant smile on my lips. I quickly put on my veil properly as he approached in my room crossing the other sections of my chamber. I smiled and greeted him to which he smiled and sat across me.

"Are you ready Adi?" He asked politely holding my hand. I lowered my gaze nodding softly.

Soon we reached our destination for the pooja and ceremonies. It's been 6 years since I lost my parents in that unfortunate accident. And since then Uday and his family were my only support.

After all the required rituals we both were just sitting under a tree holding hands. I softly said,"Only if Maa saa and baba saa were here..."

Uday could sense my sadness. Hence he leaned in closer and tightened his hold around my hand while looking at me,"I can understand your pain but I have always tried my best to not let you feel lonely, last year when we got married, you not only became my wife but also a daughter to my parents and the Yuvrani of this Kingdom, everything that belongs to me belongs to you more"

He was trying to tell me how much important my existence is and what I deserve. Oh dear God, do I really deserve such a sweet loving partner?

I looked up at him to which he smiled and continued.

"One day you will become the Queen ruling this vast empire but before that you are already ruling my heart and mind Rani saa" He ended with a kiss on my forehead.

The way he rolled out the word Rani saa gave me shivers down my spine and top it up his affectionate kiss instantly made me blush and I lowered my gaze, wondering how I got so lucky to deserve so much of love.

Soon I was just sitting hugging him while he was humming his usual unknown song which he told me he learnt from his first love.

Whenever I would ask him about it, he would just laugh it off, I suppose he was joking. Hopefully he was...

Few days passed and we were as happy as we used to be. Though we were betrothed since I was a baby but still we finally met each other when I was of 10.

The ladies in our Palace would tease me telling, "Yuvrani saa, you both are being such love birds because it's your Honeymoon phase now. Once it's over all men are same- boring." And then everyone will start laughing. But I have got faith in my Uday that he is not any average man but the Prince of my dreams.

He is just 2 years older than me and still treats me like a baby. Yuvraj is indeed a very kind and soft man and I strongly believe he'll become a great King.

But I can make such great King also run behind me.

"Adiiii wait!! Don't run and just eat your food!!!" He shouted while running behind me with food in his hand.

"Nooo I'm not hungry!! And first you catch meee" I giggled and ran away.

He was trying to catch me but hit his feet at the short table and sat on it, with a fake hurt tone,"Ok Ok you won, I can't chase anymore I'm hurt..."

Such a dramebaaz...

I controlled my laughter hearing his fake cries and went towards him leaning down a bit,"Are you hurt Rana saa?" I asked with a teasing face emphasizing on Rana saa.

Soon his sad face turned into a sly smirk. He quickly grabbed me by my waist and in no time he was hovering over me while I was almost under him on the table.

My eyes grew wide at such situation of ours,"Someone will see us like this Yujraj!! Get off me!!'' I tried to push him away.

"What will they see?" His face came even closer to mine.

A crimson shade ran over my cheeks,"Chhoriye ab bas.. n-now I'm hungry..." I said stuttering.

He smirked and helped me get up while whispering in my ears,"Good girl"

"Ahem. Your Highness, I'll feed Adi you can go- Maharaj is asking for you." Sakhi said with an annoyed face.

We instantly jumped out of that position. Sakhi thought all these were cringe, hence she was quite annoyed.

Uday was too embarrassed because of this and just silently left.

This man really gave me different kind of butterflies errupting in my stomach. As Sakhi took the plate on her hand and was about to hand it to me. Uday suddenly popped back again.

"Uhh Maharaj had some work so I still have some time, So Sakhi you may leave."

"Yes, your Highness." Sakhi said while rolling her eyes at me. I giggled at such act of his.

He quickly took the plate from her hand and sat infront of me and started feeding me.

While feeding me he smiled at me saying,"One day I'll be feeding you and our kids like this too"

He took me by surprise saying 'kids'. I just blushed and nodded while we enjoyed the best days of our life. A bright future and fruitful family is what I dream with him.

Yuvraj never failed to make me smile as the whole palace knew how much of a happy couple we both were.
