~ Chapter Six ~

"Me? Just call me Midnight." Everyone was in shock after they saw what I just did. His group immediately turned their attention to me, with faces looking so confused. "Midnight?" I heard Caleb Duke mentioned my Last Name, probably thinking who exactly I am and why I'm helping him. "A girl?!" The guy whom I just kicked reacted when he saw me. "You! How dare you interrupt my moment?! Are you asking to get killed?!" . "No, but I wish you're not planning to have a glimpse of death right?" I threaten him with my eyes giving him the scariest glare I could. But I'm surprised when he didn't get scared and called his minions to attack me instead. "Break her bones now!" He commands and I immediately went to counter each and one of them by elbowing their sides, twisting their hands, giving them a full round house kick and lastly punching one in his face. All seven people ended up laying on the floor while one stood still, surprised to what just happened to his friends. "What's your intention?! Are you also one of them?!" He looked rather scared when he questioned me, like he has faced death, and that made all things better, because I could see that he's only acting tough on the outside when he's trembling inside after realizing that he's now the only; one; man standing. "I don't know what you're talking about but next time don't bully a person in group. That will only make you look like you're scared rather than tough and need to get some respect." I said and kicked him once again without him seeing my sudden movement. I then looked at Caleb Duke whos looking completely puzzled at the moment. "How did you?----" His forehead created lines together. "I don't know why you guys always likes to wander alone? but will you please... next time act accordingly to your ranks and stop bothering people." I said to him feeling so annoyed by the fact I just acted without thinking again. "Sorry? Bothering who?" He curiously asked. I sighed. He'd never understand me of course, because he doesn't know that he's the second person I saved from those bullying kids. "Never mind what I said, anyway take care of them." I pointed out and was about to leave when two of them stood up and caught my hand. From the corner of my eye I saw Caleb Duke knocked the other and moved towards me after, but I was faster so I twisted his hand and gave him a one hard headbutt. His nose then bled. "NO!!!!" He cried when he saw blood on his hand. I glared at him. "If you ever touch me again, you will not only receive a bloody nose! Now Leave!" I shouted and fixed myself after when Caleb Duke approached me. "I've never seen a girl fought like that. Please may I know what official rank are you from?" He asked me and I was confused by what he meant. "Rank? I don't have a rank." I said and he looked surprised again. "Really? Not even secondary?" He continued asking which kept me thinking if that was a big deal or not, and I was having the idea that he must be a lunatic. An idiotic one. "No." I answered with my lips pressed together. "Oh I see, you must be one of the beginners." He's mentioned some type of classification again and so I walked away from him when he stopped me. "Wait, I didn't even get to know your first name?" He asked and I was getting annoyed, so I had to deal with him. "For what?" I snapped. "For saving my life?" He answers the most cringe thing I ever heard in the world. "For thanking you actually." "I'm Violet Midnight, and you're welcome. Now, is it alright for me to leave now?" I said sounding impatient so he had no choice but to nod his head. "Yes, yes... I hope to see you again Violet." He hoped and I ignored his smiling face by passing through him and went to the dormitory. Back on the dormitory when I arrive I could hear the television sounds on some game that I feel like I'm familiar with, and when I sneak in and tried figuring out what it is when I saw Pierce playing PS5 all by himself. I admit I got jealous by watching him play alone because it was suppose to be me who should be playing now, but since we both agreed to 'no crossing boundaries' rule. I rather turned my back and went to my bedroom instead. I slumped my body into my bed tiringly and let out a deep breath. I looked at the ceiling and blinked multiple times to relax when I suddenly remembered I was supposed to plot my revenge. I thought that I should work right away while he's still busy playing in the living room. Then I quickly stormed out of my room and went to kitchen. I went to the fridge to get some water when I saw one packet of juice from Pierce's food section. I immediately thought of an idea and searched for all the items I will need till I completed them and grabbed the juice pack. It was Pierce's only juice so it would be a perfect choice to plot my greatest revenge. I started by cutting a small portion from the top section, just enough for me to open it and remove the juice from inside. I poured the juice to another glass and took the soy sauce and put a small amount inside the packet. I added some sugar and vinegar as well to make it even more horrible, and last I poured and added both hot chili sauce, and, chili powder to add some bomb flavor in it. Next I had to close the packet, so I took my hair iron and pressed the opening together so it would turn out exactly the same thing when I took it from the fridge. When I was done I quickly took all the ingredients away and returned them to the exact places where I got them. I was smiling throughout the process not until I saw it perfectly made. I then place it after in the fridge and immediately left the kitchen with a grin plastered n my face. I locked up myself in my room after and happily changed clothes before watching a movie in my laptop. "Oh, I can't wait too see his face after he tastes it. It would probably be epic!" I giggled to myself while imagining Pierce's reaction in my head. The next thing I knew I heard a tiny amount of noise that's coming from outside. I didn't try to speculate and take a sneak peek but I know he must be boiling in anger right now. I smirked. "Serves you right, jerk." I commented and then went to watch a fantasy movie. An hour later when I felt the urge to go to the bathroom and take a quick shower before eating dinner and go to bed. I absent mindedly walked out of my room without thinking what tricks might Pierce had made behind my sight, cause when I opened the bathroom door and step inside, I straightforwardly slid my way through and ended up landing hard on the floor first and accidentally tripped my hand from using it to support my head. I winced in pain due to its stinging pressure but chose to ignore it and forcibly stood up to confront Peirce. I angrily knocked outside his bedroom door till he opens it and stares blankly at me with no trace of concern. "Have I already told you about no crossing boundaries? What do you want?" He impatiently asked. Then I showed him the soap he used earlier that eventually caused my accident. "This! I can't believe how immature you are to set some rules and later make some pranks in order to have me leave this place!" I screamed at him yet he stood there unbothered. "I'm glad you're smart enough to understand that. But I usually don't do pranks everything here was your fault." He said and that made me even more mad. "Seriously? My fault? You were the one who started it!" I pointed out. "Started? By what means exactly?" He asked sternly unguilty. "Well, don't you remember when you intentionally broke the heater this morning, and made me bath with cold water in the middle of cold season?! Isn't that any proof of your silly doings?" I interrogated him but he rather seem looking confused at the moment. Then he smiled and slightly released a laughter with eyes, ever so annoyingly magnetic that kept me from being so annoyed at him. Does he think this is all a joke?! "So you planted some gross hot chilli stuff in my juice earlier because you think I intentionally broke the heater? Really Midnight? Is that how you think it is?" I frowned. Isn't it the other way around? "Oh come on Violet, the heater broke itself and I had someone from the maintenance called to fix it this afternoon. How can I break it for the sake of keeping you from leaving my place if I can easily do that myself without using some unescessarily excuses?" I thought about it for a moment and realized that he has a point. But still I won't believe in it because it might be just a cover to keep me from blaming him. Peirce then smirked and grinned. I glared. "Whatever your excuses are I still won't forgive you for doing this!" I hissed and turned my back when he grabbed the back of my shirt and pulled me in. My eyes widened in shock. He turned me around after so I'm now facing his broad chest and I hate how tall he is compared to me, because I had to raise my chin up to meet his gaze with such unpredictable emotions. "Do you think I'd forgive you either?" He whispered menacingly. "What do you mean?" What he did next caught my attention because he glared at me with a deadly stare that made me feel cold inside. It's very uncomfortable and yet powerful which is enough for a person to feel intimidated and scared. "You sabotaged my drink, Midnight. That means I have to forgive you first before you forgive me. I'm the one who is the victim here isn't it you who I should be pissed off?" He leaned closer and almost closing the inches gap between us. I held my breath. I must not be intimidated. I have my own precautions and way to make one scared of me and that is by staring back at someone with full confidence and psychotic idiocy. I smirked. "Is that so? Alright I'll have my apology ready by tomorrow." I winked and then stepped on his right foot which made him jump in pain. "What the hell?! What is wrong with you?!" He cried. I raised my hand and pointed my index finger in front of his face after while he's busy enduring pain that probably stung for quite a long time. "No crossing boundaries right? You should know that better than me so back off! I will only tell you this once but never, ever, pull me again or else I'd go worser than that. I can always do better so you should watch out." I angrily yelled at him. The next day finally History class started. Mr. Raven didn't do anything harsh and I'm partly glad of that. As usual Peirce and I didn't mind each other even when we're tasked to do a meeting together, no one ever bothered raising a red flag between us which is good. At least he's now aware of what I'm capable of in terms of someone touching me. Speaking of History Class, I was glad that it wasn't very boring like the ones we had in a regular school. At Imperial High we tackle History base on facts and facts alone and if I mean facts, I mean evidences that include every old books and museums deepest secrets. Now that's what I love the most, when one reveals the exact truth and not sugar coating lies that's making people live in pure toxicity and recycled facts. I'd say that the History I learned at my old school is only 60% while here in Imperial High, I could tell that maybe I'd get a 90% total if I'd totally cooperate with my brain or even higher than that. Upon listening I accidentally landed my gaze on Danger's desk. I can't believe that he's sleeping in class while our teacher is still discussing. I mean he's the president right? Should he at least set some good example here? Then suddenly out of my stupidy Mr. Raven called me and made me answer one question that I probably didn't get to hear since I was really pre occupied at the moment. I shyly bowed down my head in embarrassment for I didn't know what exactly his question is about. "I'm sorry Mr. Raven I was pre occupied and didn't got the chance to understand what you have discussed. Please forgive me." I apologized and I was glad that he took my apology and instead called Pierce. "What about you Danger? Can you at least straighten yourself up and answer me?" Mr. Raven called him out and instantly Pierce stretched out his arms and then stood up to answer, boringly. "May I know what your question is about again?" Peirce asked and all the girls around the room giggled again. Psh I'm sure he's just everyone else here, dumb and lazy. "I was asking if you're familiar with the Japanese's history as to why they have changed their behaviour?" Mr. Raven said and I rolled my eyes seeing him just standing there without lifting his lips to answer. Mr. Raven waited for a few seconds when Peirce finally answered. "As far as I know Japanese people changed their behaviour because they felt embarrassed about their doings in the past. They didn't like how the other people view them as savages, so they changed to commemorate and be forgiven. That's explains as to why Japanese people are very respectful now and then." Peirce answered unbothered by our classmates who's cheekily cheering for him. "Show off." I commented. "Good but that's not an excuse to let you sleep in my class. I'm sure you're aware of how I handle my students Danger? I don't care if you're a top notchee her in Imperial High but my rules is rules." Mr. Raven scolded Peirce who later nodded in respect. "Sorry." I heard Pierce whisper silently which got me confused and surprised at the same time. So he knows how to apologize? But with me? And yeah, guess what? He's one of the top students that I have to worry about. Some stupid governor he is! Finally luch break came. I would've gone home if I didn't have something to do but I was told after to get signed for a club or so whatever it is for me to fulfill my student records. To be honest it's annoying and that's the only one thing that some schools didn't change. I mean what's the point if I'm going to skip it after? "One bottle of soda please and mushroom ravioli." I asked the waitress at the cafeteria and she smiled at me after putting my order in my tray. "Stay healthy sweetie." She said to me and I smiled back. "Sure, thanks!" As usual I took a seat that's very far from the crowded room. I sat back on the last row and was surprised when someone joined me without my consent. I took a glance and saw my classmate Marissa smiling down at me. "Hey do you mind if me and the other's join you?" She politely asked me and I nodded unsure of what I was doing. "Yeah it's fine." I answered and she immediately called her friends which I gradually knew when we met for the first time at teh gymnasium that day. "Hi leader what's up?" Asked Mason and sat beside Marissa which by then also followed Jason. "I'm allowed to sit in here right?" "Absolutely! Leader here said so and I think it's a good start to finally introduce ourselves with each other, right Marissa?" Mason said and Marissa nodded when an another friend of them arrive as well and sat beside me. "Oh sorry, did I bother you?" He frightenedly asked and of course I immediately said... "No, I'm okay." I know right I also felt weird myself doing all this stuff. Then Marissa turned her head to me. "So? Do you think we'll be a great friend of yours? Not unless you have a group in mind we'll understand your choice." "What do you mean?" I asked confused. And she unbelievably looked at me like I was such an horrible person for not knowing about such informations. "Didn't Mr. Raven tell you? We need to have a group! That's a requirement." She informed me and I calmly tossed my food into my mouth to get my first bite, when someone dodged my hand, leaving my food to spill all over the floor. I glared and turned my head to see who just messed with my food. "Surprised?" Their leader said which made me terribly furious. "You again? Didn't I already warned you? Isn't breaking your nose enough to make you scared?" I said and smirked. "You're lucky it didn't entirely broke though, but of course I won't just let someone go without giving my payback." I fisted my hand then and said... "Bring it on weaklings..."
