"Thank you, but I didn't really need your help earlier. What you did for me only made things get even worse. I hope you're prepared." He smirked as if I was about to get scared, and then he left me with a frustrated.
What the hell Violet? You've made yourself involved in a gangster's trouble again!
That's it?
That's how he threatens me?
"He's got to be kidding me." I and rolled my eyes in secret.
Since I was in 4th grade nothing scares me anymore. I built myself to not let fear creep into my soul as I pick up fights in my old school for almost everyday. I became what I am since my parents broke up with each other and when dad married another woman who's behind the reason why my family picture tore apart. I hate how those kids teases me everyday at school whenever family days and gatherings came, because I had no family to attend and play with me, no one even liked how a girl loves sports.
I was reprimanded from doing what I love and what I like, mom didn't even notice my changes until I created a scene when I stabbed someone in my class using my pencil for throwing nasty things at my desk. I admit that I'm such a bad kid, but never in my life did I started a fight for no reason, it's always those bullies who tests my patience and I fight back whenever they annoy me beyond my boundaries. Sadly, my parents never believed how depressed I was and how those kids bothers me everyday, however they only kept on blaming each other for not taking a better care of me. Little did they know, they were exactly the reason why I've experienced such horrible things in life. It's because of their careless fights and arguments that many people witnesses and pities me as their child.
So, as I grow older and reached sweet sixteen. I decided to cut their useless fighting in front of my face by ditching them alone and stay here at Imperial High.
It was such a good catch when Harris offered me and explained how this school will change me and will give me a better perspective in life. I just hope that he's not lying because I'm not going to fall back if ever someone here will test my patience just like that stupid jerk who just threatened me earlier.
If only he knew how much blood I shed when I was only starting to join a fist fight with my whole enemy squad.
I ain't named Wrath Princess if I was never good enough at fighting and making someone spit blood before me.
I smirked while looking closely at him.
What's his name again?
Oh, Pierce Danger.
I just hope he won't bother me here.
"Hey, Violet! Come on join us!" Marissa called me.
"I'm fine you guys can enjoy the party without me." I said avoiding the attention that I'm getting. This is all of Harris' fault! He knew I didn't like gatherings and people surrounding me, but still he insisted on making me a leader of what? Highschool boys and girls who's only good at partying and knocking each weakling they find? I didn't want to start and stereotype my classmates but I can't help when I noticed they immediately got wasted in just what? Few seconds?
I sighed.
How am I supposed to handle them when they all got knocked down in an instant?
Suddenly that thought gave me chills and think differently. I immediately took one of their cups and smelled the alcohol they were drinking.
I stopped for a second and then dropped all of their glasses at once, letting it crash to the fully polished floor.
Everyone then stared at me as if I was crazy and my classmates began to argue as well. They were so angry as to why I dropped of all their drinks into pieces when I yelled loud enough for others to hear as well.
"Stop this party at once!" I demanded.
Then the five royalties stopped me and question my sudden plea of course. I looked at the one person I suspect much but all I can see in him was nothing, just pure boredom and coldness while who's beside him are all concerned of me.
"And who are you to stop this event? Are you an official to break this party?" The fourth student governor questioned me.
I sighed.
Me and myself righteousness again.
"No but I am certain that everything that was set up here is a trap." I said without any remorse evident.
She laughed.
"Are you doubting the school now? How could it be a trap when we the student government are the ones who arranged this event! Are you saying that we're lying?!" She angrily pointed at me.
Tsk.
Idiots.
"I didn't say that." I replied.
"How dare you mock the student government?! You shall be punished!" She demanded with her own full words and I looked at her straight without even blinking.
"Are you sure that's what you want? Because I will hold no account if my speculation gets proven. Time is ticking here and if you don't nurse these pity students of Imperial High, death will be serve right in front of you." I explained without fear and I saw how her eyes widened in the act of panic.
"There's poison in their drinks and if left over time it will kill their organ systems and make their hearts stop functioning, you have two hours left though." I said and pointed at the person who's about to fall and hit its body to the floor.
In an instant everyone screamed.
"Call the ambulance now!" The fourth student government screamed as I calmly watch the scenario that's happening. I stood there like I was the only one present and looked at him.
Pierce isn't showing any emotion at the moment but he's also staring back at me probably reading my mind nor my actions. I bet he's going to suspect me right now when I just spilled the news. Little did they know this whole sick things isn't any threat at all, it was a trap for students to test our capabilities.
In a minute an adult came in and I suspect that he's here to relieved the panicking students.
"Everyone please calm down." He announced first but no one listened and instead continue screaming for help.
I rolled my eyes.
"Scaredy cats." I said.
Then another female adult came in together with 2 males and 1 female on stage to probably announce they plotted this idea to scare us off.
"EVERYONE CALM DOWN!" The woman in pink shouted which gladly caught the students attention and listened to her.
"Your classmates are all safe the poison we plotted isn't that hard for them to die." The teachers said.
I smirked.
"I knew it."
"Why? Why did you do this to us? Aren't you our teachers?" The second student government asked which I hardly noticed the one helping the wasted students.
He's just pure angel I guess.
The teachers then showed a video presentation that's showing our footages live on the screen. And when I understood it was a footage from a camera that the administrators and the teachers are watching as of the moment. I knew this was all staged and all because this is what I barely expected to happen when I came here.
"As you can see Imperial High is different from the other schools you knew. Here in Imperial High we build students to be mind active and physically capable of handling different scenarios of danger. Don't worry the poison your classmates drank will wear off in thirty minutes after they get a good night of sleep, we made sure of that. As for this lady here we are going to award her first achievement of all time here in Imperial High." The teachers said and called me on stage.
"What the hell?" I said kind of annoyed.
"Please miss Violet Midnight come on stage."
I wasn't going to but someone dragged me into the stage without my consent and when I turn to see him I glared and gave him my death stare.
"Sorry." The second student government apologized.
This is really getting on my nerves! I didn't wish for this to happen! Why is my opinions getting praised here when no one did this to me way back to my old school?
Oh yeah I forgot.
I'm in Imperial High and this school is different.
"Violet Midnight as for your reward, you will receive 200 points in total." The teachers said and I immediately saw our score on the screen along with the others whose numbers still are zero.
"Way to go leader!" My classmates shouted happily.
I glanced at him secretly and as expected he's just there staring so bold as if he's getting entertained by any of this happenings. I can't blame him though because I feel the same exact way.
"Congratulations class 5 and I hope others will also gather some points because whoever's class that will top the most will have the chance to get recruited as a team and be a professional loyal palace guards. The reason we did this today is to welcome you and hopefully to let you be aware of what will happen here in Imperial High. We will discuss more after when we start our first day of class tomorrow."
"You may now return to your respective rooms and prepare for tomorrows first lessons. Curfews is nearly up so better hurry before anyone here loses a point." The teachers demanded so everyone one headed back quite in a hurry although there are still people who wouldn't just listen and sneaked out.
"Stop it Violet! Stop risking yourself! Just stop caring and mind yourself!" I whispered when I bump into someone and hit my head hard.
"Will you please watch your back?!" I yelled when I saw who it was.
"You again? Are you blind?" I hissed at him who definitely just ignored me again.
Really? Anyway that is just fine at least I won't have to deal with him that hard like I when I'm dealing with others. It's good that he ignores me and leaves me alone even if I really wanted to stab him right now.
When I arrived at my dorm I immediately changed my clothes and went for a shower. Nothing beats anything when the warm water runs down my body and cleans past wounds I got from the recent fight I encountered earlier. They're lucky cause it didn't really hurt that much because if it did I would've crushed their bones in an instant. When I'm done showering I took my towel off of my hair and starts rubbing them to dry when I heard a creaking sound that's coming from the outside. With my instinct I took the most hazardous weapon I could find inside my bathroom and sneaked out silently.
There was nobody inside until the mysterious door beside my bedroom opened and revealed a shirtless male.
"How dare you enter my room!" I screamed and beats every point in his body that I could when I recognized his voice that sounded so irritated of me.
"Hey! hey! HEY! What the f**k are you doing?!" He yelled and my eyes widened when I saw him.
"YOU!"
"YOU?!"
We both said in chorus.
"What are you doing here?" He asked like he was offended when it was me who was supposed to ask him the same question.
"Me? This is my room! What the hell are you doing here?!"
"Room? Who said this is your room? This is mine!"
Wait what?
When we both realized the situation we're into. Both of us immediately ran to our respective bedrooms.
I checked myself if there are any visible skins of me that were exposed and was relieved when I haven't got one. My mind immediately twists in confusion as to why he ended up here in my room? I thought every student here has a separate room of it's own? Can someone explain this to me?! This isn't what Harris said!
And of all people I'm sharing why does it always have to be him?
"Argh! This is so annoying!" I screamed in frustration.
Suddenly I heard a knock from my door, I expect he's done putting some pajamas, so I calmed myself after and opened my door to talk to him outside.
Our eyes met each other for a moment and then returns to glaring when he showed me his designated room key and form. I also showed mine to him and that concludes everything that we're definitely roommates.
"So, does this not have any solution? I can't live under one roof with you!" I complained while we're busy sorting things out in the sofa.
Unlike me who's very uncomfortable in our situation, Pierce sat there with arms crossed while staring to his phone. I peeked a little of course and saw that he was texting Harris about our situation, so he isn't much of a talker as I expect him to be and instead of arguing with me, he called Harris and complained directly to him.
"Why didn't you tell me about this? This isn't what we agreed! You know I hate having roommates." I heard him say.
"Me too." I said to myself.
"What? A month? That's too long!"
"Look if you ain't going to address my concern I will quit immediately and return-- what? He told you that?-No- Harris!" Then the phone call ended and I saw how his face released a frustrating look.
Finally, some emotion.
He returned back to his usual self and then gave me an agreement paper and a pen. I looked at him with a puzzled look so he started explaining the things that we need to agree both.
"What did Harris said?" I asked him.
"Harris said he will transfer you to another room only after a month when the next room to mine gets finished."
"So does that mean I'm going to stay here?!" I exclaimed.
"Yes, but first you have to sign an agreement with me according to my rules." He demanded.
"Rules? What a childish thing to do for a sixteen year old."
"You have no choice and this is my territory, unless you'd like to stay outside for a month?" He mocked me, so I harshly took the pen and set my own rules next to his along with my signature in the bottom.
"Are you always this bossy?" I said.
"Are you always this annoying?" He added.
"What?" I began to get irritated when he stood up showing his back to me.
I couldn't see his face so I could not tell what he meant by saying...
"Remember, no crossing boundaries, I hate getting involved to someone."
"Don't worry me too." I answered him and also stood up to pass by him and went towards my room to sleep.
