Chapter 27
It felt so great to run free. The light was brighter here than in Aeden, even though it was winter. With so many trees barren of leaves, and the cool yellow sun above hitting the dusting of snow on the forest floor, the forest gleamed.
I jumped up and kicked my right leg out, striking a tree and sending my body into a side flip before landing on my feet. I paused, c*****g my head to listen. According to the gossiping birds in nearby, Amber and Cooper had already been caught by Dorian. Only Alec and I remained untagged.
