The Ex- Chapter 6 In which he let the waterfall loose POV-AMARA ********************************* Lucian was leaning against the door. More handsome than ever. His dark hair that was ruffled as if he ran his long fingers through it. I wanted to touch his hair. My eyes had widened since that was the first time I had seen him since his makeout session with a stranger. He looked at me then at Liana, who was to busy with her toys to notice this fine specimen. His eyes held question and...... anger. "Its my friends kid she was busy today and asked me to take care of her." I lied, it is because I just don"t want him to take her from me. She is the only thing I have right now. "You don"t need to explain anything to me. I came here to do business not catch up." He didn"t mean to sound so harsh, he had a tell, every time he lied he would look down. It wasn"t common for him to lie, but I am good at reading people. "Right of course um... well take a seat." My eyes went from him to Liana who looked at him with question but just turned around and played with her toys as if nothing happened. He sat down on the black leather chair facing my dark wooden desk. Waiting for me to speak again. "So business, what do you have in mind for both our companies future." He stared at me intently, oh those green eyes how much I missed them. "Well I was thinking if we enforce this a little more." I held a poster with some writings and pictures before continuing. "This will increase our profits in both our companies, it is a win win situation." "I like the idea it"s very smart then of course so are you I have known that." He frowned and tilted his head to the side, angry. "But not smart enough to know not to cheat." "And yes that includes my brother. How could you? I loved you." He emphasised the loved part and it made me cringe tears stung the back of my eyes but I knew better than to let them fall. "I know that deep down you know it"s not true." Lucian look down for a millisecond I almost didn"t notice. "You know what, I never loved you anyways I am happier than I ever have been. I have a wonderful fiance." Those damned tears. One fell and like a domino effect they poured down. He looked away. Liana turned to me. "Mama." Her hands went up for me to pick her up and I did. I just needed to feel loved at this moment. Liana was literally my light in any situation. Lucian was going to say something, but I immediately cut in. "Her only word." I erased every sign of hurt and put a blank expression. "If that"s all I would like you to get the hell out of my office, if you don"t mind." Lucian walked out of my office. I had to be strong but I just couldnt. And like that I broke down for the first time in two years. The facade has been washed away by the waterfall of tears.
