Episode 7

At the same night...

AVA

I walked down to the living room and sat on the couch waiting for Jason's appearance

'Good you are here' Jason said kicking me out of my thoughts

'Everything alright? Do you need something?' Jason said walking to where  was sat

'No, am good thanks'

'Remember don't scare her' Jason said in his head

'So first of all...I think you already know I am the head of the American mafia' he said

'Yes' I murmured

'And you stayed with a gang names Predators' he said

'They didn't tell me the name directly but I heard them talking about it' I said

'Ok so now we have got that over with'

He sat on the couch right next to me making my body shiver and my heart beat pace increasing

'He is so close...'

'What do you want to know' he asked

'Why did you save me? you don't even know me' I murmured

'Shortly, I saw you with our enemies but I didn't know they were The Predators at first but after I found out I knew you weren't with them by your own will. It bothered me...Nobody should be forced to do anything' 

'So you are not keeping anyone here without their own will?' I asked

'No, of course not! I will be honest with you Ava, as the mafia we are not good people. We kill people but only who deserves it, we don't kill innocent ones. Our business is on the wrong side of the law but this is the lifestyle I was born into' he said

'um..who's house is this? The housekeeper sad something about Mr Hill' I said softly

'That is me, my full name Jason Hill. You don't need to worry about anything while you are here. I have the best security and my men are guarding 24/7'

'It is so beautiful' I said

'Thanks, You already met Lucy, she s my maid and if you have anything on your mind she is here to help you and also including me of course' he said

'She seems nice, how long has she been your maid?'

'She started to work for my parents and now she works for me'

'Where are your parents' I asked

'Not here' he said sounding pissed off

I feel like he doesn't want to talk about it...

'What will happen to me now?' I said changing the subject

'Are you using me for bait or something' I asked full of fear as I stood up

'No, I meant what I said. You are safe here' he said and I calmed down 

'For now  would like to keep you here, at least until we take care of the predators' he said

'And after that?'

'Then we will talk again.. But for now this is the safest place for you to be'

'I understand. Thanks for being honest with me' I said shyly

'And thank you for saving me. You have no idea how much this means to me...I was with them for five years and they' I said but couldn't finish the sentence

'You don't have to talk about that now' he said

'N-no, I want to..Its just hard to think about that

Taking a deep breath I started

I was with them because of my dad. One of them said dad owned them money...One day he disappeared and left my mum and I. A year later they found us, killed my mum and took me. They said the would keep me captured until my dad shows up to pay his depts.. 

Of course he never came...Those things they did to me

By the time I was finished tears ran down my cheeks un controllably

Jason- I wanted to comfort her but I didn't know how. I don't want to scare her like I did this morning so I need to keep my distance

'You don't have to go through that again! I will protect you, you have my word' Jason said

'He will protect me? That kind of feels nice' I thought

'Thanks for telling all of that it must have been hard'

'Yeah...I don't want to think about it too much. Its a little bit overwhelming right now' I said

'I understand. Am sure you are very tired, you should go get some sleep'

'Goodnight'

'Goodnight Ava' he said as I walked away

I don't know why but I liked the way he says my name, it gives my body some weird senstations

NEXT DAY

I love that bed! Its so comfy..

I got off the bed and went to freshen up. After having a shower I dried my hair and decided to wear blue, ripped jeans and a white crop top with sandals that somehow fit me and went downstairs to have breakfast

At the meantime Jason was in the gym punching repeatedly on a punching bag. He kept getting flashbacks of what Ava told him about the things they did to her and it made him angry. At the same time he got a flashback of how Paul asked him if he was willing to put his people at risk just because of a girl and it was killing him because he didn't know what to do

'Those things they did to me I know what that means and I can't stop thinking about it'

AVA

I walked to the kitchen to get something to eat and I found a girl near the counter doing something. I could only see her back but her blonde hair fell down to he waist and she had a really nice curve. She was wearing some expensive clothes and I can say she was the right definition of a model

'Who is she? is she Jason's girlfriend?' I thought and the thought of them being together made me feel so sad 

'I mean obviously she is, that is his type...All beautiful and glamorous and then there I am all broken and helpless' I thought in my head

'Oh my God! You just scared the living crap out of me!' she shouted

'Hello you are?'

'Umm...Hi...sorry...I am Ava' I murmured but loud enough for her to hear me

'Relax, am not going to bite ya' she giggled

'Are you with Jason' she asked

'No!' I shouted

'I mean...I don't want any trouble and I don't want to be in your way' I said softly

'You are not in my way' she said

'I wouldn't have stayed here if I realised he has a-'I started but I was cut off

'Ashley!' Jason shouted coming into the kitchen

'What the f**k are you doing here?!' he said his eyes widening

'First of all, language brother!'

'Brother?' I thought

'And hello? aren't you happy to see me?' she said giving him a hug

'Thank God, What a timing!' I thought taking a deep breath

'Of course I am but a little warning should have been nice' he said

'Morning Ava'

'Morning' I said shyly

'I told you last week on the phone' she said and Jason stood there thinking

'Seriously...Why do I even bother. I forgot you have memory like a chicken' she said making me giggle

'And by the way, it looks like the warning should have come from the other way round' she said winking at him and my face went pink

'Yeah, I must have forgot' he said coughing

'I will explain everything later' he said

'So, you're his-' I started

'Sister yes' she said

'A little sister' Jason added

'But from the two of us, am the smartest and funniest' she said

'The funniest maybe, but I got the charms' he said flexing his muscles which made me laugh

'Yes! I made her laugh' Jason thought

Ashley moved to the other side of the room to prepare something to eat leaving me and Jason together

'So Ava, you have seen some of the members but you still need to see others you haven't seen'

'Others?' I asked

'Yeah, my main men and women. I don't know how long it will take but it is good for you to meet them. Also they come here time to time, so i think you are more comfortable if you know them' he said

'I'd like that'

'But before you go, do all of us a favour and take a shower, you stink bro!' Ashley

'Where does it look like I came from huh? The smartest my ass' he said while leaving the kitchen making me laugh

After Jason freshened up we got in his expensive sports car and drove to his safe house

'I am going to introduce you to others now' Jason said

'okay..' I said a little bit nervous

'Don't be nervous you are fine' he said

'Andrew he called out and the same man he was with that day at the café walked over'

'Whats up' Andrew said

'You have met Andrew before, He is my second in command which means he is in charge if am not around'

'H-hello...' I said

'Nice to meet you, I apologize in advance because of my dear boss. He can be a little handful sometimes' he said making me giggle

'Could you ask Austin to come over' Jason said and he walked away

'Boss,' Andrew said as he walked over

'This is Austin, my third in command. Andrew and Austin both prepare different groups for bigger deals or attacks if we need back up'

'Hi' I said with a smile but he just rolled his eyes at me

'Was that all' he said digging holes at me which made me want to fall down a hole and never come back again

'Yes' Jason said and he walked away

'He doesn't seem to like me very much...' I said

'don't mind him he is an asshole to everyone' he sighed

'Lets continue... Audrey, Hailey' he called out and two women walked over

'Hey girl!' Audrey said

'The blonde one is Audrey, she is one of my best snipers and the redhead is Hailey and she has good combat skills'

'Nice to meet both of you' I said

'Besides those, they also do undercover jobs and sometimes seduce targets for more information'

'That's all girls' he said and they walked away

'Alex and Michael' he called out and two men walked over

'Alex, the guy with glassed on is my computer genius and a hacker. If you ever need help with electronic devices, go to him. And the other guy is Michael, he is good at combat'

'Hey guys' I said

'Thanks boys, get Zachary here' he said

'Well hello there' Zachary said flirtatiously making me squirm

'Um...Hello' I said

'Behave!' Jason shouted

'What did I do?' Zachary said

'You are being yourself' he said and Zachary smirked

'Zachary here doesn't have any special skills, he is our multi function guy so he does equally everything'

'I can do lots of this' he said while staring at my breasts and licked his lips

I gave him a disgusted look and covered my chest

'Go' Jason shouted and he winked at me before leaving

'So...That was Zachary' Jason sighed

'No comment' I said and Jason chuckled

'She's already loosened up for a bit' he thought

'There is one person left, follow me' Jason said

We walked passed through the hall to a hallway and got inside and office

'I thought he was in here...Wait a moment, I will go get him' Jason said leaving me there

This must be important because he brought me to meet him here

As I waited for Jason to come back with whoever he wanted me to meet I heard people talking from the corridor and being the curious person I was I walked closer to the door

paul - so what do you think

Austin - I say we kill her

Paul - are you sure

Austin - she is messing with us, I know it

Paul - alright

'What, oh God someone is coming'

I ran to the other side as someone opened the door and walked in

He is the man that wanted to kill me?

'Please don't' I murmured full of fear

He walked closer to me and I walked back. Suddenly someone opened the door and I realised it was Jason

'Jason' I called out running to him and hugged him hiding my face in his chest

'Paul, what the hell did you do' Jason shouted at him
