My inner monster.

“Such pretty words from a beast.” Cassidy snickered at me. “So it was you, you killed Kristy?” her laugh annoyed my wolf. “So pathetic, so weak. She pissed herself at the mere sight of me.” She laughed bitterly. “Not a wolf, hell you’re barely human.” I roared her as I saw Abel take the shot but she moved at the last second and it hit her in the shoulder. Suddenly bullets were flying everywhere as the moans of the survivors filled the air. “b***h! I don’t care if he wants you alive.” But as she took a step towards me Abel fired again but this time his aim was true and it hit his mark, her cold heart. The other wolf howled into the air a threat and took off with Elijah. We hunted all night but we couldn’t find him then we knew we need to call the police and as the only survivor I had to stay there and answer all of their questions but I slipped away just before moon rise and locked myself up, there were too many people on the mountain now and as much as I feared the guns I knew the other wolf still had Elijah and he wanted me to but tonight was the moon that would decide my fate. Abel knew this and agreed with me to stay away and stay human like him, the moons pull has so bloody strong that I thought it would kill me not to changed then I heard Abels scream and I just let go and let my wolf take over. “Save them both, please.” Was my last thought as my wolf ripped free and ran up the mountain, to my sires’ home. “Welcome home little one.” Jericho purred at me, I wasn’t shocked that it was him he had given me the creeps since my first day here but I could smell Louise’s blood still on him and that pissed us off. “You killed Louise? Why? Why her?” I hissed at him. “She saw me turn, stupid bitch.” He laughed at my pain of losing her. “You will pay for all the death you and your dead pup have coursed here.” I said smugly, I hated Cassidy as a human and her dying as a mutt just brought me joy. “You will learn some respect.” He snapped at me, I felt him try to push his will onto me but I stood my ground and would not bend the knee. “Fine let’s do this the hard way then.” And that’s when I first saw them both, gagged and bound to the pillars at each side of the large room we were in. “You can save but one, so which will it be?” My wolf just attacked, it was all teeth and claws but he got me pretty good at the side of my neck. I slowly limped to Abel’s pillar where I sagged to the bottom. “Giving up so quickly? Maybe you aren’t a fighter after all.” He snickers happily, but what he wasn’t seeing was me slicing the rope freeing Abel who bolted over to his brother freeing him as I went for Jericho’s throat. I locked my jaw and held on for dear life, he thrashed around and threw me against walls but I wouldn’t let go and softly his movements become sloppy and slow as he was losing too much blood, suddenly I ripped my head side to side snapping his neck. I dropped his lifeless body to ground and stagged over lean on a wall. I heard one of the boys load a gun, I slowly moved my head to the sound of the gun and saw it was Abel who looked on the verge of tears. “No I made a promise, I’ll do it.” Elijah cried as he took aim, I was ok to die we had saved them both. I walked outside slowly and made peace with my wolf, we were both hurt and not even she was sure if we could make it. We barely heard the gunshot but his aim was slightly off but the force of the hit still sent us flying forward and over the edge of the cliff. I don’t remember anything after the bite of the bullet but I woke up in a hospital, the nurse smiled as I opened my eyes then she leaned over me quickly before helping me to pull the long tube out that was down my throat. “Where am I?” I asked hoarsely gripping my throat from the pain, she handed me a cup of water which I happily drunk quickly. “Mount Sinai, you have been here nearly a month now. Can you tell us your name?” I shook my head no. “I don’t know.” It was a lie but I couldn’t and didn’t need a paper trail of this little stay but I need to get out and get out of the city. So as soon as I had a pair of fresh clothes and a hot shower I ran away and went to my dad’s apartment via the underground car park.
