Captured and tortured.

I was crying openly by the end, a few more people gave speeches but I barely remember them. It was a perfect way to remember my dad, most people stayed til dark but one by one they all slowly left. Abel carried me upstairs to my room. “Will you stay with me? I really don’t want to be alone right now.” He nods then lies down behind me as he wraps his arms around me. “Sleep Selena.” I laugh. “Your bossy.” I mumbled as sleep took me, I dreamed of my dad I was happy and safe but all too soon reality set back in and I woke up. Abel was gone which I was grateful for, I really didn’t want to face him right now. I go for a shower then get dressed; I go outside and help with the cleaning up while Alberto cooks up a bbq with the remaining meat. It was a great way to spend the morning just eating, laughing and cleaning. With the full moon only 2 weeks away I start seeing Jenna everywhere I go, Gwen hires Abel as a ranch hand under Alberto since Jr’s mother became ill and he had to go and look after her. (In truth Jr was having a hard time with control since Jenna arrived so I sent him to my house in Texas.) After a couple of days Alberto joined him, I can’t say I blamed him having Jenna around was making my skin itch but I wouldn’t leave Gwen. The night of the full moon, I was in my room meditating when a pained howl reached my ears. “Selena?” Gwen calls out as I open my window, I smell the air its Abel! I race downstairs, “Selena, don’t go you know it’s a trap. She wouldn’t hurt her own son.” I laughed as I started to strip off. “You don’t know her like I do Gwen; she will kill Abel if she found out about him trust me on that. Her whole life is dedicated to killing all the evil werewolves, no matter what face they wear most days.” I finished the change. “Selena, you come back to me.” Gwen cried, I bumped into her hip then raced off to the scent. Abel had a silver knife in his stomach, there was so much blood. “Go Selena… she will kill you… run…” he was losing too much blood; I knew pulling the silver knife out would burn me but it would kill Abel. As quickly as we could we pulled the knife out and threw it into the bushes nearby then put pressure on the wound. “Abel! You need to get up! Go to Gwen's! Keep her safe.” we followed Jenna’s scent up to the trees, we find her on an old tree trunk that has fallen over. I growl at her instantly. “I knew it was you! Ever since camp last year, I knew it the second I saw you.” I change back. “Just as I knew you were a serial killer, you hide behind the title of hunter but you truly enjoy the killing I can smell it on you. And you call me a monster.” I laugh bitterly at her. “Your kind is a disease on this world, turning and killing.” She spat at me. “I haven’t done either, yet you use your own son to lure me out. I know you better run so fast because this whole place is under video surveillance.” I laugh at her, “You forgot one thing Jenna I was always a rich girl so I was always a step ahead of you, both of your sons knew about me for a full year they choose me over you and that’s something not even you can change.” I laugh as she shots me in the shoulder, I continue to laugh. “Quick Jenna, the police will come soon and you will lose your window.” I bait her and then next thing I know is its nearly sunset and I'm in a cage. My shoulder burns from the silver bullet, I grunt in pain. “Selena?” Abel whispers. “Abel? Where’s Gwen?” “At the ranch, it’s all on track.” I sigh, I hear Jenna in her car talking on the phone but I can’t hear the other person. “How long does silver poisoning take? I've had it in me since last night.” “It’s already affecting you, Selena another few hours and it will kill you.” I heard the pain in his voice. “Abel, if I don’t make it you need to protect Gwen.” I threw myself at the bars but they burnt me but not as much as it did in my wolf form. I kicked at the bars. “Abel, the silver bars aren’t as painful in this form.” Finally the lock brakes and I give it one last huge kick and the door flies open. I jump out and changed before the moon had even risen; I threw my head back and howled which was heard for miles in every direction. I ripped Abels lock off and he climbed out and picked up Jenna’s gun then pointed it at her, he fired at the windscreen that got her attention. I changed back and Abel gave me his jacket.
