Chapter 8; Jobs are jeopardize.

Logan POV;
I walked into work, hope that Ashlee came to work today. I brought both of her bags with me, cause if she didn’t go home, she probably would want to change. Plus she probably needed her purse.
As I walked to my office and looked over at her desk and saw her phone there. So that told me she was here.
I unlocked my office and put her bags in the ground. I sat at my desk, kinda nervous what she’s gonna say to me. Just then I heard her voice outside my office, sounded like she was on the phone. I walked out of my office and seen her on the phone, smiling. She saw me and told the person she would call them back. She hung up the phone and looked at me.
“Where did you go last night?” I asked her.
“ I need some space, I knew if I told you I was leaving, you wouldn’t let me.” She said to me.
“I was worried about you all night.” I asked her. “Where was Madison at? She asked me.
She looked angry and upset.
“She left, 20 minutes after I left you in the room.” I said to her.
“ I didn’t come to work to talk about this, let’s just to work, you have an meeting in 10 minutes anyway.” She said getting up.
I saw what she was wearing, and know she probably feel uncomfortable wearing that in the work place.
“I brought your bags so you could change. They are in my office.”
She said thank you and walked into my office shutting the door. I leaned on her desk, waiting for her to get done. Next thing I know the work phone is ringing.
I answered, “hello, Mr.Miller here.”
“Where’s Ashlee? I didn’t call to talk to your dumb***.” I heard Liam say to me.
“She’s a little busy, I’ll have her call you back.” Before he could say anything else I hung the phone up. She came out of office, all changed.
“Feel more comfortable?” I asked her.
“Yes, thank you.” She walked passed me sitting at her desk.
I walked in my office, getting ready to walk down to my meeting.
I walked into my meeting with my head everywhere, I couldn’t stay focus. This meeting felt like it took years. It was finally over and walked out, and seen Liam and Spencer were back and at her desk.
“Did you guys come to actually work? Or detract my girl..” I stoped my self. “Assistant” I said instead.
No one at work knows we’re back together at the office, and I know she likes to keep it professional.
“Both,” Spencer said to me.
Next thing I know, I saw Mr. Asher call my name cross the room, giving him the hint to go see him.
I walked over and walked to his office and sat down.
“So we have a little problem here!” He said to me.
“And that is?” I said to him confused.
“I don’t know if you know this, but he have a BIG rule, and that is that no one is allowed to screw around with their boss, let alone dating them. If I’m correct, you and Ashlee have gotten back together from what I heard. And guess what she is…your assistant.” He said to me kinda angry.
“Wait a minute, you knew me and her had a past when I got here. And your were ok with it. Now your not!” I asked him
“Yes, I knew you had a past, I knew you were her exboyfriend…key word EX!” He said to me, saying the word “ex” a little loudly.
“So what do you want me to do? Break up with her?” I said to him.
“Well we got two options here, Logan. One you can do that? Or Two, I let one of you go! Choice is yours.” He said to me. “Listen, I love having both you work for me, your both hard workers. But I change the rules for just one person, well in this case two people.”
“Ok, I’ll let you know, I’ll talk Ashlee about this.” I said to him kinda angry.
I walked out of his office, kinda angry but upset at the same time. I don’t want to lose her again, if I have to choose between her and this job, I choose her.
As I walked up to my office, I looked at Ashlee, she was laughing at whatever her and Liam were talking about.
“Ashlee, I need to see you in my office.” I said to her.
“Why?” She said to me.
“Because I’m your boss, and I told you to” I said to her.
She got up looking a little angry. Liam stood there and rolled his eyes. She walked into my office.
As I closed the door, she said, “what’s your problem?”
“Look, we have a problem.” I stated, “did you tell your friends out there, we were back together?”
“Yes why? I tell them everything.” She looked at me, angry and confused.
“Well, do you know, the big rule here is that your not allowed to date your boss?” I said to her.
“What? No I didn’t know that.” She said,
“Well, I was told either we had to break up or one of us is losing our job.” I said to her.
She didn’t say anything to me at first.
“What? Maybe I can talk to him.” She said.
She walked out my office, I walked up to the door and seen Liam standing there smirking.
“I told you to stay outta my way, but you didn’t listen.” He said to me.
“You knew that was the rule here.” I said.
“Sure did, but if Ashlee asks me, I am gonna tell her, I didn’t know.” So try and tell on me.
He said, laughing. Walking away.
I rolled my eyes, highly frustrated. I went back into my office, next thing I know, my phone rang.
It was Mr. Asher himself calling me to his office. I got up and started heading to his office.
I knocked on the door, and let myself In. I saw Ashlee, sitting there, and Mr. Asher looking kinda angry.
“What’s up?” I said.
“Well I think you both have made your choice, and I’m sorry to do this but I have to let one of you go. I ain’t gonna choice which one! So both of you take the weekend to think and talk about it, and figure out who needs this job more.” He said to us. “I think both of you can take the rest of your Friday off, and I’ll see you both in my office on Monday.” He added.
“Yes sir.” Let’s myself out. Ashlee followed.
I went into my office, grabbed what I needed then grabbed Ashlees bags and handed them to her. Closed the door. As we walked out together, Liam stopped us.
“Ashlee were are you going?” He asked her.
“I may or not just got fired. I will find out Monday, I was told to take the rest of the day off.” She said with a few tears falling down her face.
“I gotta go, Liam. Call you later.” She said to him. We both walked passed him. He looked shocked. He has one to blame but himself.
