You ever deliver a pizza so hot it gives you superpowers? Yeah, me neither. Until that fateful day at EmberCorp, supposed leaders in geothermal energy. One wrong turn and next thing I know, I'm taking a swim in a vat of shimmering pale yellow goo. Turns out, it wasn't coolant – it was a recipe for becoming a human inferno. Now, I can fry an egg with a death stare and turn up the heat on a bad customer from a block away (don't judge, some people deserve it).The worst part? EmberCorp wants me back for "observation." Observation my fiery behind! That's when things got interesting. My best friend, Levi, the ever-so-reliable cop, is, well, guarding the scene. But something feels off. Levi's a good guy. EmberCorp's reputation is about as squeaky clean as a dumpster fire.Luckily, a strategically placed grease fire (hey, these powers have their uses!) led me to Lisa, a brilliant scientist who used to work at EmberCorp. Turns out, their "clean energy" is a flaming lie, and that vat? A twisted experiment to create a living power heat source to do who knows what. Talk about a betrayal hotter than a habanero pizza. (Please don't get annoyed with all of the pizza puns. It was like kinda my job)Enter Lisa and her tech-whiz daughter, Emily. Lisa's got the inside scoop on EmberCorp's secrets, Emily's got the gadgets to hack through a firewall faster than you can say "anchovies," and I've got, well, you get the picture. Our mission? To expose EmberCorp's deception. Leaked data, whistle-blowing scientists, and maybe a strategically placed meltdown or two (gotta use my powers for good, right?).But my biggest complication? Levi. He's my best friend, but with EmberCorp pulling the strings, I can't trust him completely. Plus, dodging corporate goons while looking like myself is a recipe for disaster. Luckily, Lisa had one more surprise – a sleek watch that can camouflage me with a flick of the wrist. Now, I can be two people, a walking chameleon with a fiery secret. So, I am Nova, the pizza girl turned pyrokinetic powerhouse. With my newfound abilities, a tech-savvy partner, and a loyal (hopefully) best friend, we're about to turn up the heat on EmberCorp and expose their recipe for disaster. Buckle up, because things are about to get hotter than a double pepperoni pizza straight out of the oven, with a side of high-tech disguise and a mystery friend on the inside. Get ready, EmberCorp, because Nova's coming in hot!

Chapter 1
Joan's POV: I remember it like it was just yesterday. My mom and I talking about me going to my first day in kindergarten in this school. Those were really the days. I shut my eyes to flashback.... "Joan, come on you're gonna be late for school, now let's go." I tried my best to insist on staying home but she didn't comply. In fact, she looked way happier than I was. "Mom, I don't like going to school, other kids call me weird, what if the new ones start calling me weird too?." I said that thinking that she would understand. "Oh Joan, ...." She hugs me and continued, ".... it's okay to be weird, as long as you're... you." She brought out her pinky finger and told me to make her a promise. "Promise me you're always gonna stay true to yourself, always." I just smiled and promised her, even though I was still scared to come out of the car. As I came out anyway, I saw this huge building and I saw my teacher. She was really cheerful and that gave me a little joy and I wasn't as nervous as before. "Welcome, you must be Joan. Well, your gonna love everything about this place." As I looked back at my mom waving at me and entering back to the car, I took a deep breath and went inside. I saw other kids too, some were playing together, others were laughing with one another, I even saw a kid pulling another kid's hair, not sure what was happening over there but it's sure not my problem. Then I saw someone, a boy, he seemed a bit older than everyone else including me. He was just alone with a crayon and no one seemed to be talking to him. When other kids passed him, they would run away quickly from him. It was really sad, so I decided that since no one was talking to him, I should. "Hey, nice drawing." I tried to get his attention but he was still drawing, until he finally looked. "Thank you, it's my first masterpiece." He said while smiling at me. "I'm Joan.'' I brought out my hand to shake him. "I'm Levi, nice to meet you." We talked for a while and he told me that he was new and he told me he's new just like me. Other kids started looking at me and laughing because I was talking to a weirdo but I didn't care. Before you knew it, Levi and I became best friends. He always called me his little sister because well I was little. We would always go on pretend adventures, talk about cartoons and everything. Unfortunately, one day, without warning, he just left the school. The worst part is it was the day our favorite cartoon series ended. "Honey, what's wrong?" I saw my mom when she came to pick me up from school that day and I ran to hug her. "Mommy, he's not here anymore." I sobbed a little because he was my only friend and he left me. "I'm so sorry hon, c'mon let's go home, I have something to tell you which might make you feel better." I cleaned my eyes and went to the car. That day, my mom told me that she got a promotion at work and that actually made me feel better. The downside was we had to move to another town, which also made me feel sad, but I didn't really know anyone back at school, I decided to agree. I came back a few years later after my mom passed away. And I just decided to go to the places that reminded me of her. I open my eyes and tears start to come out but I quickly cleaned it before anyone could see it. I'm just wondering when my life will get better and when I can finally smile again. I left the building since security started looking at me weirdly.
