"Make Jeremiah fall in love with life again Avon. Be my son's wife for 547 days and you can have your company back, that's my only condition. If you are not willing to take my offer then I'm sorry to say this but your name will vanish in the business industry,"

Avon Lauder a well-known model who is living her life to the fullest felt like she had her greatest downfall when she married Jeremiah Foster a multi-billionaire business tycoon who embodies perfection, not until an accident happened that made him end up in a wheelchair.

Avon Lauder never imagined herself to be the wife of a disabled man but when her family's business was sold to the Foster she had no choice but to sign the contract as the billionaire's wife for 547 days.

Avon has a mission to fulfill to acquire their company back and that is to make Jeremiah Foster fall in love with life again but how can she do that when the man is already on the verge of giving up?

Avon has no idea that Jeremiah Foster applied for voluntary euthanasia to end his suffering. He is determined that if there is no progress for 547 days then he will end his life.

Will Avon be successful in her mission of making Jeremiah fall in love with life again or she will fail in changing the Billionaire's mind?

Prologue
Avon's POV Loud music. Dancing crowd. The smell of liquor and cigarettes. Laughter. This is the life that I had been living and I have nothing to wish for. "Cheers!" I happily shouted then raised my shot glass filled with liquor. "Cheers!" Althea happily uttered then bumped my glass and after that, we started laughing like crazy. We swayed our bodies to the beat of the music. Raised our hands in the air to feel the rhythm and closed our eyes as we savor the moment. After a while, I felt Althea lean her body closer to mine and whisper something in my ear. "The guy wearing black is checking you out," she whispered then giggled. After that, she pointed at the man behind me so I turned around to see who she is talking about. "s**t he looks damn fine," I uttered then bit my lower lip as I looked at the man intently. I gave him a flirty smile as he made his way toward us. When he finally reached our spot he extended his hand. "Marcus," he introduced then flashed a boyish smile. "Avon," I responded then took his hand. "Wanna go somewhere else?" he asked and I know what he meant by that but despite that, I nod my head. I am off at age to do that kind of thing so might as well take this stranger's offer. Before we could even walk away I felt someone pulling my arm and I almost forgot that I am with Althea. "Don't forget to use protection," she whispered which made me laugh. I looked at Althea's face with a huge smile plastered on my face then nodded my head. "Yes Mom," I jokingly replied then waved my hands to her as I walked away with the man named Marcus. "Your place or mine?" he asked when we are inside his car but before I could even answer my phone vibrated. "Excuse me I will just take this," I uttered. Marcus nod his head so I stepped out of his car to have some privacy. I walked a few steps away from his car before taking the call. "Avon where are you?" my mother asked and I can hear the panic in her voice which made my forehead crease. "Mom, what's wrong?" I asked anticipating my mother's next words. "We need you here Avon, please come, home sweetheart," she uttered so I nod my head even though she can't see me. Based on her tone I can tell that we have a big problem at home so without even saying goodbye to Marcus I run towards my car and pulled it out from the parking and drove towards our mansion as fast as I can. It took me an hour to reach our mansion. I immediately walked inside and before I could even reach our living room I heard my mother's shout. "No please Thomas! Don't do this please," she pleaded so I immediately run, and fear crept into my whole system when I saw my Dad standing in our living room with a gun in his hand, pointed at his temple. "D-Dad," I called him. My father looked at me with tears cascading down his face. This is the first time that I saw him cry and I must say that it feels like hell seeing the man whom you always looked up to slowly giving up on life. "I lost everything Avon," he uttered. "Dad you still have us. You still have your family, " I uttered but he shook his head as if he is telling me that those aren't enough. I have no idea what is happening but I don't have time to ask for the root cause of this chaos. "You don't understand Avon," he uttered then shook his head. " I lost Lauder's Corporation to Foster's. We went bankrupt and I have no choice but to sell it off," he uttered which answered my question earlier. "Dad we can still talk to them. We can get our company back," I uttered giving him hope but he shook his head as if he already gave up. "Give me a month Dad. I will do everything to bring back Lauder's Corporation," I uttered confidently even though I don't have any slightest idea about business since my brother is the heir of that company, but I wonder where he is right now that our father needed him the most. "Give me a month Dad I promise I will fix everything," I uttered. My father slowly loosened his hold on the gun so I immediately walked toward him and stole it from his hand. I pulled my father into a tight hug and I felt my heart clench in pain when he started crying on my shoulder. The tears that I had been holding up earlier fell nonstop. After a few moments, my mother joined the hug. Our living room was filled with our cries and this whole situation made me realize that my life isn't perfect at all. I thought I have everything. I thought I will have a wonderful life. I never imagined ending up like this. I already had my plan but it looks like my life is no longer mine because I have responsibilities to fulfill. Responsibilities that I have no plan in shouldering but ended up taking everything. Jeremiah's POV Rain was pouring hard. It's already dark outside and the only thing that lights up the way is my car's headlight. "Bro where are you?!" Adamson asked on the other line. "I don't know, I can't see any signage," I responded then tried looking around. "Just stop when you see a hotel or a place to stay for tonight. It's pouring hard," he uttered which made me chuckle. "You sounded like my Mom Adamson," I uttered which made him utter a curse and laugh at me. "I'm just concerned about my money. I betted a million on you so make sure to win that f*****g racing competition," he uttered and I nod my head even though he can't see me. "You know me when I am on the racetrack Adamson, I fed them to dust," I responded boastfully. "You're full of yourself," he uttered which made me laugh but my laughter vanished when I saw a car in front. We are taking the same way so the first thing that came to my mind is to avoid it. I turned my steering wheel to the left but the road was too slippery and I lost control. I held the steering wheel tightly as I try my best to be back on the road but it was already too late because in just a second my car crashed into a large tree. My body felt numb but I can still hear Adamson's faint voice calling my name. After a few seconds, I heard someone knocking on my car window. I turned my head to where the sound came from and I saw someone standing outside my car but he run away after a while. I can't move my body. I felt like any second from now I will lose it and I did. My eyelids became heavy and everything went dark. ~After one month~ "Jeremiah, can you see Mommy?" I heard my mother's faint voice. My vision is still blurry but after a few seconds it became a bit clearer and the first thing I saw is my Mom looking at me with tears in the corner of my eyes. "My son is finally awake," she uttered then pulled me into a tight hug. After a while, she broke off the hug and then looked at my face intently. "Where are we Mom?" I asked in a weak voice. "We are at the hospital. You were in a coma for a month," she responded. I roamed my eyes around which made me notice something. I can't move my body. "Mom I can't move," I uttered then looked at my mother anticipating her answer. "Mom," I repeated but she looked away and hugged my father tightly. I let out a nervous laugh and then turned my head to my Dad. "Dad," I asked to hope that I would receive an answer from him. "What's f*****g happening I can't feel my whole body!" I shouted with my voice filled with anger. My mother hugged me tightly once again as she tries to calm me down. "Call Dr. Romero, Alonzo," she uttered as she hugged me tightly. I saw my Dad step out of the room and after a while, he came back with Dr. Romero on his side. "What's happening to me?" I asked directly. "Can you tell me what you feel Mr. Foster?" he asked. "I can't feel my f*****g body," I responded with gritting teeth. My mother broke off the hug when the doctor walked towards my bed. Dr. Romero started pressing my legs but I can't feel him touching them. " We will run an MRI scan of your brain and spine, to see if you have a tumor or herniated disk," he uttered and I can't understand a thing I just saw them pushing my bed to a room and after a while, I am lying on an unfamiliar machine. I held my breath when my body started moving inside a big tube. After all the tests I am back in my room waiting for the results. After a few hours of waiting, Dr. Romero entered the room holding an envelope. "The accident damaged the spinal cord in your neck and after running some tests it showed that you have Quadriplegia. It's a symptom of paralysis that affects all a person’s limbs and body from the neck down. Quadriplegia is sometimes treatable, but most cases — especially those due to injuries — result in permanent paralysis," he uttered. " So there is a possibility that I will be like this for the rest of my life? Impotent?" I asked and let out a sarcastic laugh. "But there are cases where patients diagnosed with Quadriplegia survived the condition. Some people can recover some function up to 18 months after the injury. You still stand a chance, Mr. Foster," he uttered to give me hope. But what if I don't recover? What if I would be like this for the rest of my life? How can I live like this?
