Avon's POV
Jeremiah and I headed towards the hospital together but none of us dare to open a conversation. We just walked side by side, quietly.
When we reached Mathew's room Jeremiah opened the door for me so I stepped inside and the moment I did my eyes met Avon Blake's eyes.
She look at me intently and after a while, his gaze shifted to Jeremiah who is standing behind me.
I simply nod my head to Avon then walked towards Mathew's bed.
"How are you feeling baby?" I sweetly asked.
Mathew look at me for a few seconds then after a while he looked away. I saw how his hold on Blake's hand tightened.
I swallowed hard when I saw how scared he is. I gave him an assuring smile then took a step back maybe a little space will make him feel better.
"Mommy," Mathew uttered.
"Yes, baby?" Blake
