Hunger
I looked up at the sky, the moon was like a golf ball. “Lil, I hungee” said the small child snuggling deeper into me “Max I find us some food tomorrow, just go to sleep” I said pulling my little brother closer to me, his forehead was burning, I needed to get him help soon, I couldn't explain this to a doctor, werewolves can’t be found out, it would all be fine soon, I said to myself. About an hour later Jay appeared next to me. “here I’ll carry him but we have to keep moving, we’re not safe here” Jay said about to pick Max up when he stopped and sniffed the air, “Get behind me now” he said standing up a low growl emanated from his chest. When I came to things like this it was best to listen to Jay, because he was normally right, the hair on the back of my neck prickled as the scent of other werewolves surrounded us “Whatever happens get Max and you out of here” he said just before a large black wolf lunged forward, Jay had already shifted, his sandy colour fur stood out in the night. A massive wolf stepped forward, giving a bark before Jay was pinned down by three wolves, and I backed up against a tree, protecting Max who was sleeping in my arms. The wolf shifted back into human form, he quickly pulled on a pair of shorts before the others shifted “Shift” he barked at Jay. Jay growled at this guy shaking his wolf head “Shift or we kill the girl” he said, somebody came up behind me pulling his arm around my neck and somebody else grabbed max out of my arms holding him by the back of his shirt. “Jay their going to hurt Max just shift already” I screamed at Jay. As soon as Jay shifted back to human, I felt a pain in the side of my head before everything went back.
