Back at Moloka‘i’s marina, Mel had some interesting news. It seemed that he had spent much of the day on the ham radio with some of his retired Navy contacts, and had learned of a violent attack on a SEAL team off the cost of O‘ahu—an attack that might have been the work of the mo’o. Together, they decided it was worth investigating, in case it gave them any leads as to the location of Julian and Thomas’s tutu. It would also give them the opportunity to pick up Axel and Rascal from Pearl Harbor. The two were alone there now that the dolphins and Jose were gone.
