“Crow” went down to the extra room that was several doors down from his. In it was the Demon Hunter prisoner that was responsible for his death and rebirth.
He lay on the floor, his muscle mass slowly decreasing, his cheekbones were more visible, and on his ankle was a shackle keeping him in the room. The room was mostly empty, save for the bucket where the man could relieve his bowels and bladder.
“Crow” picked up the man’s head by his hair and forced him to sit up. “Time to wake up. How can I find more of your buddies?”
The man narrowly opened his eyes, and groggily spoke. “What?”
“I said, “where can I find your buddies!”” He slapped him once.
“I’m not telling you.”
He slapped him again, “Wrong answer! Again!”
“I-”
He closed his fist and punched him in the jaw, “Where!?”
The man smiled, “Is that all you got?”
“Crow” let loose a series of punches, each aimed for the jaw.
The man began to bleed from the mouth and “Crow” gave no reprieve. He kept punching.
He stopped after punching him about ten more times and asked again, “Where can I find more of your shithead buddies?”
The man, lying on the floor beaten, pushed himself up on his hands, and looked in “Crow”’s direction.
“You gonna answer or what?”
The man spat out his dislodged teeth at the demon and smiled, blood dripping from the corners of his mouth. “How about you go after some Strays? Maybe you’ll find some hunting them? Though I can’t guarantee that it’s all they’re hunting.” He let out a stifled laugh.
“Crow” simply stood up and left the room, closing it and locking it behind him.
The man lay there waiting, waiting just a few more seconds, hoping that the demon would be far away. He had a smile on his face, restraining a laugh from escaping his lips. Then, when he couldn’t hold it anymore, he let it out. It came out as a cackle and escalated into a laughter of madness. He would let this demon kill the demon-loving Demon Hunters who believed that good demons existed. He hadn’t felt so ecstatic in so long!
Maybe they’ll even kill him! One less problem for me!
