Chapter 9

“Crow” had never actually been in control of the body during the showers. In fact, he would mostly be sleeping. He stepped into the water, letting it soak his hair and his body. It had allowed him to relax for the first time in many months, his muscles beginning to ooze out their soreness. “This must be why humans enjoy showers so much…” he said aloud to no one in particular. He then decided it was time to get out. He stepped out of the shower and walked out to where his new clothes were laid out for him. It was an expensive-looking dress shirt and dress pants. Well, I better figure out how to put this on quickly. He put on the underwear that was on top of the clothes first, then put on the pants, zipping them up and then closing the button. Next came the shirt. It looked like a hassle for him to put on. What am I supposed to do with all of these buttons here? What about these weird things sticking out at the top? He kept staring at it, becoming more and more upset looking at it before he decided he would just put it on and not even try to button it up or do anything with the collar. He walked out of the bathroom, dripping water from his messy hair and soaked shirt. Zexal turned to him, a scowl on his face. “Did you even wash yourself? Has all that time outside made you-!” He suddenly stopped yelling. He had come to realize that the person he was speaking to wasn’t Crow, Airi’s servant. No, this was the side of Crow that had suddenly gotten strength out of thin air and used it to beat him down. Zexal visibly shivered, he feared no one, except this version of Crow. “You’re the black strength.” He muttered. “Crow” simply looked at him, not a single word spoken. “Anyway…” He took a breath trying to keep his cool, “you need to actually wash yourself. With soap and shampoo.” “I don’t know how.” Zexal sighed, of course he doesn’t know! He turned to a nearby butler, “take him back to the bathroom and help shower him.” The butler nodded, “As you wish.” He walked up to “Crow”, placing a hand on his shoulder, “Well come on, let’s get you properly washed up.” “Crow” looked at him, simply nodding and walking back.
