The king of Lingerfelt and his soldiers were on their way to the small farm of the Alistan’s. They were taking the shortest way there so he could get his long-lost daughter back to where she belonged and so his wife wouldn’t be as sad anymore then what she’s been for the last eighteen years. All he could think is to get to her.
They rode as hard and as fast as their horses could carry them. They got close to the farm, but it was nightfall. So, they decided to set up camp and he would send a soldier out to scout the home and to see if he could spot the princess before they came to get her. A few hours had passed, and the camp was all set up, but everyone made sure that they weren’t able to be spotted by the Alistan’s.
The soldier who went to spot out the home comes running back trying to catch his breath when he reached the king. “Your majesty I looked in all floors and rooms but there isn’t anyone other than the man and woman here.”
The king calls for the messenger. He steps forward and neals in front of the king. Currently the king is furious that his daughter isn’t here nor any sign of her ever being here. “I thought you were for certain this is the dwelling place that you saw my daughter?” “Yes, it is your majesty, I swear on my honor that this is in fact that this is, she was here when I presented the invitation at this address.” The king says with furry in his voice, “then where is she now?” The messenger didn’t understand he knew what he had saw and he knew it was the missing princess but what he couldn’t figure out was where she was now. “Your majesty if you’d let me, I can find her again. They may have gotten scared when they saw me see her here and sent her somewhere else.” The king cooled and thought to himself before he decided that he would let the messenger find out more, but he had only four days to do so. That would be the day before the ball.
The next morning the king and his soldiers left the farm and went back to the castle with no princess at hand. But the king told his queen what he said to the messenger in hopes he will find her before the ball and bring her back.
The queen was saddened again because she still didn’t have her other daughter here with her but hoped that the messenger could find her baby girl once more.
