The Tale of a Cambion

Jeremy's POV After 500 years of existing as the first and only Cambion to be born of a demon king and a vampire queen, my father is finally sending me to earth on a mission. I don't know what the mission is all about but all I need to do for now is create a strong foothold for myself in the mortal world. I've always wanted to go to the mortal world to see how humans live their lives and how it's possible for a person to grow old and die within a hundred years but I never had the chance to go. It's not that I didn't really have the chance to go but I chose not to go because of what happened to my father many years ago. *Five hundred years ago* The demon realm has always existed in harmony with other immortals and supernatural beings except the vampires. It happened that a demon king was betrayed and killed by a vampire queen after falling in love with her and ever since then, the demon realm and the vampires have been sworn enemies. Unfortunately, the demon king which was my father five hundred years ago, visited the mortal realm like every other king does and fell in love with a vampire queen at first sight. According to him, my mother was too beautiful to resist that he didn't even realize she was a vampire at first. Due to the conflict between both realms, they had to hide their relationship and could only meet once in a while whenever they visited the mortal world. Their relationship was going smoothly and their bond was growing stronger with each passing day until my mother became pregnant. Although their relationship was not known to anyone but as soon as the pregnancy was confirmed, the news about their relationship and the pregnancy spread like wildfire in the immortal realm. For the first few months, there was chaos in both realms and my father thought a war was going to break out but everything died down eventually, until three years later when my mom gave birth to me. The elders of the demon realm said there was no way an offspring of the demon king would live in the vampire kingdom while the elders of the vampire kingdom also said there was no way their Queen's first child would stay apart from the queen. After so many negotiations and discussions, the vampire queen finally gave in and decided to send me to the demon realm. She chose for peace to reign to preserve the lives of her people and that was how I was brought to the demon realm and have been living here since then. My life hasn't been rosy ever since. It was like I was treading on thin ice every single day and I didn't dare to make a sound at first. The servants and other people around me were always saying all sorts of things behind my back but I pretended to not hear any of it. They said I didn't deserve to be the heir because I had a vampire's blood flowing through my veins and I put up with all of their contemptuous words until I was twenty years old. The day I clocked twenty was the day I showed everyone of them that I'm not to be messed with and since then, they've always feared and respected me. My dad, the demon king became proud of me and had been entrusting me with important tasks ever since. Until now, no one has mentioned anything concerning my birth but I still make sure to set up that cold aura around me and because of that, I never engaged myself in worldly pleasures. *End of flashback* The main reason why I've decided to not go to earth all these time is because I don't want to repeat my father's mistake. I know how strong the demon king is since I've been with him for five hundred years now and if he could fall for a vampire at first sight, how sure am I that I won't make the same mistake? I managed to stop the demon's gossip and put them in their place but if I make one mistake, it will be over for me. Now that I've been given a mission, I have no choice but to go to earth this time and do what I'm supposed to do. Nancy's POV After praying that morning, I stared at a picture of BTS Taehyung on my phone and drooled over it for a few minutes. How can someone be so handsome? I really want to meet him one day and I hope I will be able to see him in this world tour. My fantasies came to an end when I heard my mom calling me from the living room and I quickly jumped down from my bed. My name is Nancy White and I'm twenty two years old. I'm Catholic and the first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is pray. Because of my obsession with Taehyung, his picture is the next thing I look at after praying and I don't know if it's because of my surname but my skin is whiter than snow even though I've never used any expensive skincare product. There is a beautiful Phoenix emblem on my stomach and it's the thing I like most about my body. I wish it was on a more visible part of my body but I wonder if that would have been a good thing because even though it's on my stomach, the priest in my church warned me to keep the emblem hidden and he also warned me to always be with my rosary. The emblem has been there ever since I was born but I didn't know it was a Phoenix at first because it was very small back then. As I grew up, the emblem also grew and I got to know it was a Phoenix. It has stopped growing for a while now so I guess that's how much it will grow. There's also something strange about me that I noticed while I was growing up. If I get hurt, the wound heals almost immediately and it makes me feel like a weird person but my mom has consoled me several times and I've accepted it as a part of me. I do well to hide it from others and my family has been supportive. I also run really fast than other people and because of that, I couldn't participate in sports in school to avoid drawing attention to myself. During my twenty two years of existing on earth, I've always come out at the top. I won a scholarship to go to secondary school and also won a scholarship to attend the university and at eighteen, I was the youngest graduate in my country, Canada. I don't know how I managed to achieve that when I'm from a poor family but I did it and my family was very proud of me. My room is filled with the numerous awards I've received over the years. After graduating four years ago, I decided to work in the biggest company in our small town. My mom asked me to go to the city for a better job but I wasn't interested. Now that BTS will be holding a concert in Canada very soon, I've made up my mind to go to the city. I won't be able to attend their concert if I'm at home so I have no choice but to move out. "Good morning Mom, I hope you slept well?" I asked my mom with a smile after opening the door to my room. "Do you think your smile can save you this morning?" she glared at me. "You think it's easy to go to work from Monday to Friday? Today is Saturday and I'm not going anywhere so why won't you let me rest?" I whined. "Let you rest? You think sleeping till 10 am in the morning is not enough rest? Do you want to sleep throughout the day?" she scoffed. "10....10 am?" I stuttered. It's 10 am already? How come I didn't notice it when I took my phone. I must have been so engrossed with Taehyung that I couldn't see anything else. "Why are you smiling? Did I say something funny?" my mom snapped at me. "No mom but I have something to tell you" I said. "What's that?" she asked while casting me a suspicious glare. "I've finally decided to move to the city and look for a better job" I announced. "Oh my God! Really? Ahh!" she screamed and jumped up happily. Why is she so happy when I've not even gotten a job yet? "You finally made the right decision after a long time. When are you planning to leave?" she asked. "I already resigned from my company yesterday so I will move to the city on Monday and start looking for a job" I explained. "Alright. I believe you will get a job very soon because it has always been like that. Things always work for you even when you don't try hard" she said and I nodded my head in agreement. Monday came really quickly and before I knew it, I was already on the plane to Mexico City. I had a friend in Mexico City so she connected me to a real estate agent and in a few hours, I was in my home. I already ordered furniture and other basic home appliances I will be needing so everything was set up quickly. I also bought BTS light stick, photo cards and their merch. BTS, here I come!
