6. First Love

ATHENA

"What the hell are you doing here" i asked while glaring at him.

"This is hòw you talk to your patient?" He spoke with a smirk.

Jesus!!! He looks so damn hot.

Wait!!! Did he say patient. My eyes widened in Suprise.

I took a deep breath trying to control my emotions. I opened my eyes and gave him a professional smile.

"Sorry sir for that" i spoke and opened his medical file.

"I didn't knew that you're a doctor. I thought you were a entrepreneur " he speaks.

"Well i am a doctor and a entrepreneur both." I spoke and continued to read his file.

Thats interesting!!! I never knew thst he has a heart disease since childhood. I closed the file once i was done reading it. And started checking his pulse and heart rate. Everything seems normal.

"Well for now you are fine but you need to stop taking unnecessary stress and rest as much as possible. "

He nodded his head like obedient child.

After thinking for sometime i remembered something

"You should minimize your alcohol consumption " i spoke with a serious look.

He didn't replied so i continued speaking "you should also stop smoking it's not good for your heart "

"I can't promise but i will try my best" he spoke.

I nodded my head and stood up to leave. But before i could walk he grabbed my hand and turned me towards him. I looked at him confusedly.

"Do you need anything " i asked

"Yes, actually i want to ask you something " he spoke.

I nodded my head encouraging him to continue.

"Do you care for Amelia???" He asked

"Yes but why are you asking me " i asked him suspiciously.

"Because i don't think Lance is the right guy for her" he spoke.

"How do you know ???" I asked him Seriously.

"He isn't a good person..."

"And you're " i stopped him in the middle by speaking.

"Sorry???" He asked confusedly.

"Andrew if you think i don't know anything then let me enlighten you that i know everything about everyone. " i spoke confidently.

"Athena you don't understand " he tried to explain me.

"Listen Andrew stop interfering in others life and mend your damn own business. " i spoke angrily.

I turned around and started walking towards the door. I opened the door and was about to walk away when I spoke again

"Take my advice Mr. Knight and move on from one sided love . It will only hurt you and will give you nothing in return. Amelia loves Lance a lot and i am not letting anyone destroy her happiness. Anyone means anyone." With these i walked out of the room.

Today one thing was clear that Andrew love Amelia. I don't know why but i felt hurt when i realized that he loves someone else. I shook my head and tried to focus on other stuff.

When i entered the house i saw mom sitting on sofa and reading some files. I greeted her and sat beside her.

"How was your day" she asked me.

"Tiring " i replied with a tired expression.

"Have your dinner early and go to bed" she spoke while caressing my hair lovingly.

She took a file that was lying on the coffee table and told me

"I want you to work on this case with Evelyn."

" you want me work with Evelyn " i asked her.

"Yes if you don't mend "

I nodded my head and took the file from her.

After that she went to kitchen to prepare dinner .

I looked at the file and sighed.

Today i am going to have a very long night with these thoughts in my mind i walked towards my room.

Love' it is a small word but is very important in my life. I never understood this until i met her. I was leaving my bachelor life. But then i met her and everything changed. She is love of my life but unfortunately i am not her love of life .

Everything was fine. We spent time with each other and i loved her company but then he came. He took her away from me and can't do anything.

Lance Hamilton!!! I hate this name.

He is not a good neither am i but still i won't hurt her unlike him. If she was getting married to someone else instead of him i won't have any problem. He will break her heart in the end. He loves someone else and was forced into this Marriage. I don't want her to get hurt and i will always protect her. She saved my life once and now its my turn to return the favour.

My heart shattered in million pieces When i saw her getting engaged to him. My eyes saddened when i saw her in arms of another man. I was brought back to reality when I saw a beautiful girl sat beside me. She was a very beautiful girl. She was wearing a white gown and was looking like an angel. I looked into her beautiful chocolate brown eyes. They were very beautiful and unique shades of eye color.

She looked very familiar and resembles Amelia a lot. Thinking about Amelia made me sad and thats why i shouted on her. But when i saw the hurt in her eyes i realized my mistake and apologized her.

I asked her to give me a company. She wasn't sweet or innocent like Amelia but she had innocence in her eyes.

Shit!!! Why the hell i am comparing a stranger with Amelia.

Her name also matched her personality , Athena the goddess of wisdom. I think she is a foreigner because she has a little British accent and i have never seen her before in any parties.

But the question is what is she doing here???

Before i could ask this question Amelia came and introduced her as her yunger sister. No wonder why is resembles Amelia so much.

Athena Paulsen the youngest daughter of Michael Paulsen. She left new york 14 years ago that's why I don't know much about her. And now she came back maybe to attend her sister's wedding.

When she came to know that i am a Knight she was shocked would be an underestimated. She excused herself and walked away from us. When i saw her walking away there was only one thought that came into my mind that was i wish i can see her again but i never knew that my wish was going to be fulfilled so soon.

I met Athena again in the dinner party. She was looking very beautiful in her dress. But she gave me a cold shoulder and continued to ignore me for the rest of the evening. But she looked angry when she saw Scarlett sitting beside Lance. Afterall everyone knows tha Athena loves her family a lot. So i wasn't shocked when she looked angry.

At that time a idea came into my mind. A plan that will break Lance and Amelia's marriage. I looked at Athena and smirked. She will be the perfect pawn in my game. But unfortunately at that time i didn't knew that the girl with an angelic face was actually a devil in reality.

After dinner i was standing in the lawn and was drinking my whiskey when i saw Scarlett walking towards me. She is a very cunning and manipulative woman.

"Hello Mr. Knight " she spoke .

"Hi" i replied curtly.

"I have a plan that will give you your Amelia back and Lance will be mine" she spoke.

I raised my eyebrows and her and spoke " if you have a plan then what do you want from me "

"I need your help in something. I need your cooperation with me." She spoke.

She really thinks that I will help her. Helping her means digging your own grave and I am not interested in that.

"I will think about it " i spoke and then left for home.

Next day,

I woke up early as i need to go to hospital for my regular checkup. Today i am going to meet my new doctor. Well lets see what is he/she capable of doing.

I took a long warm bath and then went inside my walk in closet. I choose to wear a a navy blue formal suit with black tie.



After breakfast i left for hospital. I went inside the room and waited for the doctor. After sometime the door of the room opened and someone walked inside. When i looked at the person i was shocked to see her.

Athena!!!!

What is she doing here. When i looked at her properly. I realized that she is my new doctor.

Well i knew that she is a successful businesswoman but never knew that she is also a doctor.

Thats a interesting combination.

When she saw me she was angry but when she found out that i am her patient she gave her professional smile. She checked me properly and then advised me few things. The way she was working she seemed like a great doctor.

She looked damn cute when she was talking with me professionally.

When she was about to leave the room i stopped her and played my game as i planned. Everything was working according to my plan but i did a small mistake . I underestimated her. She isn't a naive or innocent girl like Amelia but was very smart. I can't manipulate her.

Infact i was shocked when she told me that she knew that i love Amelia and asked me to forget her. Well if she really thinks that i will take her advice then she is wrong.

I saw her walking out of the room and sighed. Now there is only option left to stop this wedding.

I grabbed my phone and dialed number. After the fourth ring the person picked the call

"I am ready for the cooperation " i spoke and then cut the call.
