Peaceful

Not long after the pizza is gone Lexi is ready to hit the road to head home. I tried convincing her to stay since it was getting late but she insisted on heading home to Richard. I walked her to her car after she hugged and kissed each of the babies. I didn't know what else to really say. When we get to her car I helped her put her bags in the trunk. "I'm glad you found someone to take care of you and to help with the kids. I know you are strong enough to do it on your own, but a boy needs a father to teach him to be a man. And a girl's first love is her daddy. I will always love my son but he didn't do you or my grandbabies right." Lexi tells me with her eyes full or tears and sorrow. "Lexi I want you to know I did care about Adam and I will forever be grateful to him for the blessings he left me with." "I know dear. I also know that man inside that house will be good for you and them. He will show Eli how to be strong and Ellie how to be treated by a man. She and Eli will watch him love you and know how it is supposed to be. You will be okay dear." Lexi gives me a quick hug and tells me she will text me when she makes it home. I watch her drive away before I head inside. I quickly wipe my face free of tears as I head back into the kitchen. I already have our bags packed for the evening just in case we stay at Talons tonight. I am still a little uncertain about staying with him this early on. Talon runs up to my room and grabs the diaper bag and a small bag I have my clothes and toiletries in. He lets me know he is going to place them in my car and will be back in a moment. "Are you okay sweetie?" Aunt Jenna asks me with concern on her face. I hate that she is worried but I also understand it. "No but I think with time I will be Aunt Jenna. Lexi more or less gave me her blessing to be with Talon. Not that she could stop it from happening anyway. It is just nice to know that I don't have to feel guilty for it. For my feelings for Talon and for wanting to move on. To have a man in my life." Abbi comes over and hugs me as Jenna takes my hand in hers. "You got this Marie. I know things will be okay." Abbi says reassuringly. As crazy as it sounds I actually believe her. Deep down I feel things will be okay. Talon walks back into the kitchen a moment later and rejoins us at the table. He scoops Ellie from my arms and cradles her to his chest before taking a seat. "Dearest I hate to bother you but we should probably hit the road. This way we can get the babies situated for the evening and get some rest." Talon says while gently swaying his arms side to side slightly rocking Ellie. I stand up along with Talon and Abbi who is holding Eli. "Yeah I think I am going to go home too tonight. Let Aunt Jenna have the place to herself." Abbi says while she hugs Jenna sideways so as not to squish my son. "Silly girl you are more then welcome to stay whenever you want. Whether Marie is here or not. But I understand as well. Ya'll just be safe getting home. Marie dear text me when you get there so I know you're safe." Jenna hugs all of us and kisses the babies on their heads as she walks us to the front door. Talon puts Eli in his seat while I strap Ellie in and Jenna watches us from the porch. Talon comes around and opens my door and I slip inside. He hands his keys over to Abbi and after telling her to go straight to the house he climbs into the driver seat. He takes my hand in his and brings it to his lips. He softly kisses my palm and brings out hands to rest in his lap. the drive to Talons is spent in a comfortable silence. The babies sleep the whole way there thankfully. There's nothing worse than dealing with two screaming babies in a car. Especially because usually one starts then the other joins in. Talon grabs our bags while I carry the babies inside. His sister tries to convince us to go to the movie room but honestly all I want at the moment is to take a shower and get the twins settled after a feeding. After Talon declines her offer he leads me into the house and to his rooms. I fed the babies while Talon got their stuff together. He set the playpen up on my side of the bed and got their bath stuff ready in the bathroom. While I fed Ellie he gave Eli a bath. When Eli was done with his bath he got him dressed then handed me Eli and took Ellie for her bath. She let him know she didn't like his decision to remove her from her food source judging by the angry cry she was letting loose. "She sure does got a set of lungs on her doesn't she?" Talon asks while smirking down at my wailing infant. "Bewarned she gets it from her mama." I remark smugly. Talon just grins as he walks off to the bathroom. I fully understand that phrase now 'I hate to see it go but, i love to watch it leave'. It doesn't take long to get the babies to sleep. I close the door behind me as i leave the bedroom and take the baby monitor with me out to his balcony. Talon is seated in a chair looking out across the yard and into the trees. I step up behind him and start rubbing his wide shoulders as he leans his head back and groans from my touch. "That feels amazing dearest. What did I do to deserve such treatment?" He rasps out huskily. "Nothing I just wanted a reason to touch you." I say as I try to work my fingers into the muscles up towards his neck. He rolls his head from side to side as I work my fingers across his shoulders and up his neck and back again. Every few moments he lets out a soft sigh or a low moan. He lets out a soft grunt when I start working down his back. I love feeling his muscles flex under my finger tips. I work on his back for a for more minutes before I sit down and look up at the sky. It is so peaceful here.
