Earlier that day, while they were still walking towards the center village. Kurtis received a system notification. At first he was so frightened. And when the system start speaking to him through his mind, he looked around him to see if no one had heard what was talking in his mind. "Err thanks, but how is that possible?" "So, what's your name?" Kurtis asked. "Strange?!" Kurtis retorted. "Wait, I haven't name you, have I?" asked Kurtis, he wasn't getting what the system meant. ' Vampire powers, what is that? ' Kurtis thought. ' Can someone explain what's happening here? Hey, high tech system or what did you call yourself ' It is a good thing that it was at night, because Kurtis was shaking his head violently to get the system notification off his face but it was all impossible. ' What is this s**t? am I the only one seeing this? ' Kurtis wondered. ' How do I search for some unknown leader, what importance is the leader to me?? ' Kurtis questioned the system but the system wasn't responding. ' I knew it, it's just my imagination ' Kurtis laughed it off in his mind. But then, he was surprised that the system was still there. Even though Kurtis was angry at the fact that the system was all real and his thought of imagining things was all fake, he still want to ask some questions. ' Perhaps if I could get answers to my questions, I will believe that all this are real and it's not just my imagination ' Kurtis thought. "What a f**k!!" Kurtis blurted out. "What is it?" Melody asked. "Ah.. it's nothing." He answered. Since then, he has been wondering what this system is all about and why he need to find an unknown leader before he could get answers to his questions. He didn't hear anything from the system until when they reached the entrance of the Mage school 3 in the morning. ' So this system knew what is happening around me and he also knew that that kid is a mage! ' Kurtis was surprised ' What if I try to complete this quest? ' Kurtis thought for a while before deciding, ' I'll complete this first Quest no matter what! ' "I've got to save that kid." Kurtis replied as he activated his lightning powers to cut off the chain that was used to bind his hands. The Master Knights and Mages couldn't see the students but Kurtis could see them very clearly. Maybe because of his special dragon eyes that he wasn't aware of its powers. "Which kid? How?? where?!" Melody asked confusingly. She couldn't see the kid that Kurtis was talking about. She's not as special as Kurtis, why would she see something like that. "Hey, what are you doing!" Liza whispered to Kurtis. "Just don't let them know, I can sneak back to you later." Kurtis said as he cut off the chains and hide under a tent that was closer to him. "Take care Kurtis!!" Liza whispered softly to Kurtis and they all entered the mage school compound. The school has a separate small gate but it wasn't as large as the big gate of the center village. After the army had entered into the mage school, the gate was shut, and Kurtis got out of the place he was hiding. He ran towards the direction of the kid and the bullies, hoping to beat the hell out of those bullies but unfortunately, they were all gone and only the kid was left alone, sobbing. "Hey, what happened?" Kurtis asked the kid. "Please don't kill me, I'm not going to tell anyone. I promise, please I'm sorry." The kid begged with his eyes closed. "Why would they kill you. Did you do something worth killing?" Kurtis asked and the kid lifted his heads and looked at Kurtis in amazement. "Scholar Kurt, what are doing here? When did you arrive from the beast hunt." The student mage asked. "Just a while ago." Kurtis answered. "Tell me, who did this to you?" "What?" "Why are all this bruises on you. You looked disfigured." Kurtis replied. "This, it's nothing. I just fell while I was trying to activate my earth ability." The student answered as he put on a fake smile. "Why did you lie?" Kurtis said. "I did not lie!" The kid tried to defend himself. Kurtis shooked his head before replying, "Presently, there are three things proofing that you are lying." "First, you are outside the school. Secondly, when I came some minutes ago, I saw you crying and you were begging to spare your life. Why would you be begging for someone to spare your life. And thirdly, I saw it clearly that you were beaten by some student knights. Or am I lying?" Kurtis replied. "I'm so sorry scholar Kurt. I'm sorry for lying to you. I'll tell you everything." The student mage confessed. The boy looked at his right and left before answering. "I saw those knights transforming into beasts!"
