Liam’s POV

It’s been a month since the baby shower, and I haven’t heard or seen Kate. I messed up big time. I have looked everywhere for her and can’t find her anywhere. I tracked her phone which say’s home but she isn’t I have been to her apartment and there hasn’t been any sign of her. I even checked with the airport but no records of Kate leaving the country. Janet won’t tell me anything and neither one of her friends. She couldn’t have disappeared from the face of the earth. I really need to find her and make things right.

The office felt strange without her. I got a new assistant who turned out to be an airhead like the previous assistants I had before Kate. Nothing was going smoothly as planned. My meetings were always messed up. She never did anything on time which just annoyed me. I kept staring at her office and imagined Kate was there busy with her work ignoring me. I really adored Kate and I surely missed her a lot. I usually found myself staring at the photos in my phone that we took whenever we were hanging out.

My eyes longed to see her beautiful smile.

*I remembered the first time I met her on that dance floor. She turned around and gave me the most beautiful smile ever. No one ever smiled like she did. *

My hands missed holding her.

*I remembered the first time we got close, the day I met her in the club, after Susan’s birthday dinner. On the plan, the day she collapsed before we found out she was pregnant. I missed feeling her soft skin.*

I surely missed the way she smelled.

*The first day she came to my office as my assistant was when I first caught her scent. All the times I was next to her in my car when we went for meetings and all the times we flew together. Lastly the last time I saw her at the baby shower. She hugged me when all her friends screamed surprise. I missed that moment when she hugged me*

I can’t sit here and expect her to just come back to me. I then left my office after sending an email to my senior managing director to take over for as long as it took me until I found Kate. I didn’t state the actual reason in the email. I told him I had some family matters I needed to attend to and will be back once it was sorted. I needed all the time I could get to find Kate and bring her back home with me with the baby of course.

I went to see Janet one more time and this time I wasn’t going to leave. She was going to tell me where Kate was, or I wasn’t going to leave her work place.

“What are you doing here?” she asked trying to whisper.

“I want to know where Kate is.” I demanded

“You have hurt her enough just forget about her”

“No I can’t forget about her. If I could, I wouldn’t be here, it’s been a month and I can’t find her anywhere”

“Look save yourself some time and stop looking for her. She’s gone very far and you won’t be able to find her.” I knew Janet knew exactly where Kate was and she had to tell me.

“Janet, I know I messed up and I want to apologize for it. Please help me find her.”

“I need to get back to work, you will get me into trouble.” She tried to walk away and I pulled her back by her arm.

“You surely will get into trouble because am not leaving until I know where Katherine is!” I demanded. Janet stood there looking at me with fear in her eyes. I bet she noticed I had lost all my patience. People outside the bank noticed what was happening and soon a guard approached us.

“Is everything okay here Ma’am?” he was looking at my strong grip on Janet’s arm. I soon let go of her.

“Yes, everything is fine thank you.” She responded.

I could tell she was scared. Soon the guard left and went back to his post near the ATM machines.

“Kate is in Canada, she left 3 days after the baby shower. If you are really going to go there make sure you have the best apology ready because she’s not coming back here” Janet started to walk away once she finished talking.

“Wait” I walked over to her. “Am sorry for being rough, I just want to get Kate back”

“I will text you her address” Janet soon entered the building and I couldn’t see her any more.

I got into my car and left for home. I called my pilot and asked him to prepare the plane to fly to Canada. It was a long trip and I had to leave as soon as possible. I need to find my Katherine and bring her back home soon.
