Sleep is something that we all crave and look forward to after a long day. We just wanted to lie down and forget all about the tough day we had. That maximum of eight hours of sleep we get is the only time we have to get away from reality. Some of us do not even get that time to sleep. We work till our body gives up on us, forcing us to rest. But for me, I cannot sleep. I want to sleep, but I cannot. Sleeping means revisiting my past that is filled with pain and demons. I want to avoid that, so the maximum amount of sleep I get per week is around four hours. Other than that, I am always doing something to keep my mind busy. That is how I got to be the youngest billionaire in the world. But that only kept my mind busy. My heart was still feeling the emotions and pain. So, I turned to fighting, and sadly, to fight legally needed me to be 18 years old and above. I am only 14 years old now, so I turned to the illegal world. People were willing to pay to watch me lose. Due to their bad luck, I have not lost a fight once. Now I am rich in both worlds. What about my family, you may ask? I am not sure either. All I remember is that from the age of five years old, I have been living in the streets. Then, from 9 years old until I was 12 years old, I was in an unknown location that created my ugly past that I will not share now. At 12 years old, I ran away back to the streets, where I met Liam and Lucas. Liam adopted me as their sister. Now I am 14 years old and have been living with brothers for exactly two years. “Sweetie,” Liam started as we were eating our breakfast as a family. I looked up at him questioningly. “I think it is time for you to try attending an actual school and allow yourself to try communicating with kids your age” Liam looks at me softly. He knows I hate reality and love to hide in my room. I speak to no one but them. And it took them one year to speak to them. “Why?” I asked him, “I want you to make friends and try to be a normal teenager. Yes, you have gone through something that those normal kids did not. I do not want your past to hold you back. This might open up new experiences and emotions for you”, Lucas answered this time. “Okay, I will give it a try”. I nodded. I will try it for them. They deserve that effort I am willing to make. They have taken good care of me when I was just a stranger. I should be grateful to them, and this is my way of showing thanks to them. “Thank you, baby. I have already registered for school. It will start on Monday. Your uniform is also here,” Liam smiled brightly. He has been planning this for a long time. I just sighed. I am not ready to go to school. Yet something tells me, this place is going to take me on an adventure, and I am going to uncover many things.
