I sneakily walked past the way I went out and entered my room. Mira was waiting for me by the side of the bed. Immediately she saw me, she jumped up and started panting heavily.
"Are you okay?" I asked and gasped.
"Did Father find out I left?" I asked again.
"No he didn't, but a guard came here and asked about you. I lied that you were taking your bath and couldn't see him. I'm glad you came back on time", she said. I breathed a sigh of relief, she made my heart hang in a place.
I laid down on the bed thinking about what Myles said about me and my first impression of him. I think I had stepped up to him, "You are in love, Skylar" I said, and rolled on the bed.
"My lady! You are happy today, what's the good news?" Mira asked, and I sat her down on my bed. She immediately stood
"I can't sit in the same place as you, my lady, and this is your bed" she said, but I dragged her down on the bed again.
"I have a say about where you will sit or not!" I cautioned.
"Have you ever been in love before?" I asked her and she nodded.
"Who?" I Asked.
"Collins, one of the warriors" she replied and blushed.
"We love each other well," she added.
"So you have started your love life, and you didn't tell me?" I pinched her.
"That's by the way, I met someone I have never seen before, and my heart started beating very fast. I know the feeling of love, and I'm sure I'm in love with him, but today, he said his first impression on me was great, and I'm fun to be with. What does it mean?" I asked and waited for her answer.
"I won't say he is in love with you, but I'm sure he is attracted to you, like those of friends. Friends can result in something else. If he loves you, I'm sure he would definitely tell you, because he is a man, and you are a very beautiful girl, my Lady. No man can ever resist you. I lost count of how many men have come to ask for your hand in marriage, but you definitely declined all of them. I'm very happy to be your maid" she said, and I smiled.
"Thank you! Is Steven back?" I asked and she shook her head.
"It's almost lunchtime, he is supposed to be back by now. I'll go downstairs and check if the cooks are done. I'll call you!" She said and left. I took out my phone and, Holy! Steven sent a lot of messages.
"Are you fine!"
"Is father back? Did you go out again?"
"Don't cause trouble until I get back!"
"Keep yourself busy with your phone!"
"Evans Skylar, why aren't you responding?"
How am I going to keep up with all these messages? He knows I hate you with my phone. Why is he bugging me like that? I know he is concerned, but not all these messages are like that.
"My lady! Your father and brother are waiting at the dining table" Mira said. I stood up immediately and headed downstairs while humming a melodious song.
I sat down at the table, greeted my parents and began eating my food. After a few minutes, a guard whispered something to my father and what I heard was the sound of his hand on the table, which made me jump up.
"Evans Skylar! What have you done again, when you learn to obey and not just jump to conclusions!" Father yelled. I had no idea what he was talking about.
"Who did you meet today?" He asked. Really! Did he ask someone to follow me around, and now my secrets are exposed?
"I met a friend, the one I told you about yesterday!" I explained and hit his hand on the table again.
"Do you know who you met yesterday, Madden Myles! And you went to see him today. Don't you know how dangerous he is? Haven't you heard of him before?" He asked, what's wrong with having a friend like him? I asked him
"I regret having a daughter like you!!" he added.
"And I regret having a father like you. I can't do anything in this house without the fear that my father will yell at me. If I make any friends, you would forbid me from seeing them. How is it my fault that I am an Omega? How is it my fault that I have a family and a father who doesn't support me? Did I do anything wrong in my past life? Why me? Why always me? Do you know, I have always fallen In love with him, I love Myles!!" I yelled, and I was given a hot slap by my father.
"Evans!!" My mother yelled his name.
"Skylar, your father is right, you shouldn't have anything to do with him, he is very dangerous" My mom said and I laughed.
"How would I know, when you prevented me from going out, you prevented me from mingling with others, and now I have fallen in love with him, you are telling me this! I'm sorry, but it is too late, there is nothing any of you can do about it!!" I yelled.
"You are forever grounded, Skylar, you are not allowed to go anywhere, and if I ever see you with him! I promise to disown you as my daughter!" He said and left.
"Evans!!" Mom yelled his name and looked at me.
"Skylar,I'm really sorry we didn't show you what the outside world looks like. That's because it is dangerous, and you don't have the ability to protect yourself, but you shouldn't have anything to do with Myles, he is dangerous", Mom added and left.
