Myles pov*
I got a call from my personal bodyguard from home, that the meeting of every Alpha's from every pack is about to be held in my pack. I was a little bit sad that I was going to leave Skylar, but I had to go. I got into my car and couldn't stop thinking about her. She is cute, beautiful, loving and, to it all, she is very funny. Even though I didn't want to talk to her yesterday, she made it her job to make me talk, and it seems like we are becoming friends. I smiled.
"I kind of like her!" I muttered.
"Come off Myles, what's wrong with you? Do you have to be thinking about love when you have a Cold War ahead of you!" I snapped. I increased the speed of my car and got into my pack.
"Good morning Alpha! Good morning alpha!" Everyone greeted me. I wasn't the kind to respond to greetings. I just walked away.
"You came a little bit late, your brother has already started with them. I'll take care of your things, head to the first hall", Gregory, my bodyguard explained.
I walked as fast as my legs could carry me. One person I can never trust in my life is my brother. I can't tell you the full details, but you will understand as my life goes on.
I got there and opened the door and everyone looked at me. There were about 30 of them.
"Oh! Brother, I have been waiting for you, I had to start the meeting to avoid keeping them waiting!" He said with that cunning voice and mischievous smile.
"You can go on!" I said and sat beside a young guy. The last thing I would do is sit beside my brother. I don't want any problems now.
"Did he say anything important?" I asked the guy next to me, but he didn't answer. I tapped him on his hands and he looked at me.
He removed the ear pods in his ears and looked at me.
"Did you say anything?" He asked and I shook my head.
"Oh! I'm sorry I didn't recognize you, Alpha Myles, my bad. I wasn't interested in things he was saying, I had to do my own business, "he explained, and I nodded.
"You should be sitting down up there, why are you here?" He asked again, trying to find out everything. I looked around, and my eyes spotted an empty seat near a more handsome young man. I teleported immediately and sat next to him.
I watched as he took out his phone and kept texting a particular person, and the same person wasn't replying, he would check his phone again and drop a text, but the person still wouldn't reply.
"If you keep texting, the person may feel insecure, sometimes people may need their privacy" I said. And he looked at me.
"Alpha Myles, I didn't expect I'd get to talk to you like this!" He said and bowed. I just do it when someone bows to me. I'm not interested in wealth or the crown. All I want is to live a peaceful life with someone I love.
"Actually, she is my little sister, we have a complicated life with our family, so I have to check on her to see if she is fine, since she isn't replying she might be busy". He explained and I nodded.
"You must really care about her!" he said.
"She is my only sister, and she is very timid, but she is nice and caring" I said.
"Alpha Myles!!" I heard my name from the top ground and I looked up, it was one of the elders of our pack who called my name. What is it this time? I teleported to him.
"You called me!" I said and he nodded. Instead, he turned to the congregation and began talking to them. The elderly on the pack are just like the standing Pillar, they respect their Alpha King, but they also have a say in the pack.
"I see you met someone interesting yesterday and today!" Austin said, and I looked at him.
"Don't be surprised, I happen to be watching your every move", he added and chuckled.
"What would you gain by doing this? You wanted to pack the crown, and I have it to you willingly, why are you stalking my life?" I asked and he laughed.
"Stalking you? I'm just making sure you don't kill another person, just like you killed our parents. If someone told them they would be killed by their precious son, would they believe it? You ruined your parents' lives, don't do that to another person's daughter '' He said and I smirked.
"Are you afraid that I would kill you too? You don't need to be, my hands are too precious to be wasted on you!" I said and tried to leave, but he drew me back.
"Watch your back Myles, I definitely would rule you!" He whispered.
"That is because I want that, and if I don't want you to rule the pack you won't rule it" I answered, and he released his hold from my hands.
"Are you planning to do something?" He asked and I laughed.
"I don't want to keep it a secret from you. Since you want a Cold War, I would have to give it to you!"

I'm fed up with my brother's attitude toward me. I wanted to keep my life low, because I mistakenly killed my parents, but since he wanted it this way, I will give it to him.
