Chapter eighteen - She is only a maid

Noah's POV:

We have a new maid. I wish that someone had told me about it. Mom is making decisions without talking to anyone. I don't know why she does this. The girl is working well. I like her meals. She used to be a babysitter before. I'm sure she can find a better job than being a maid. That is her choice. I'm glad with her services. Mom is not complaining, either. I was expecting her to start doing it. I don't understand why we need to have a maid. Mom is here all the time. She doesn't do anything. I'm sure she can cook and clean. The question is if she will do it. I don't think so. Granny can't do it. I mean, she needs to rest more. Jasmine can help. Let's not talk about war. She is using the baby as an excuse to sit and do nothing. After some time, this will stop. I have noticed that she doesn't like Nia, our maid. I might need to stop talking to her so often. Otherwise, she will get in trouble. I'm sure she doesn't want this to happen. We are not doing anything else besides talking. I have no idea what Jasmine's problem is. She is wrong if she thinks I will let her treat Nia like that. The girl is here to work. As I see it, she wants to have a job. I won't let this get ruined for her. I hope that Jasmine won't start a war with her.

It's the weekend. I don't have to go to work. I might stay at home with Jasmine and the baby. If I don't do it, she will think I am using her for the baby. This is not true. I can take Nia with us if we go out, but I'm sure she will deny it. The tension between my mom and grandma transferred to Jasmine and Nia. Honestly, my girlfriend is the one causing the drama. The maid is not doing anything. I might talk to her about that. She doesn't need to stress because of Jasmine.

I woke up and went to get ready for the day. Jasmine is still sleeping. Charlie, too. I tried not to make much noise. Otherwise, I might wake them up. When I was ready, I walked out. I can wait for everyone for breakfast or eat something now. I will save Nia the trouble of making another plate with food. If you want to get to the rooms upstairs, first, you should go through the kitchen. Nia was already awake. It looks like she has been up for at least an hour. The food smells delicious. This girl has talent.

I saw Nia walking out. I'm sure she heard that. I will talk to her later. After breakfast, I offered Jasmine to go for a walk with me. The answer was no. She will go out with Charlie and my mom. If that is what she wants, I won't stop her. The only thing I don't know is what she has against Nia. Since the girl game here, Jasmine has been against her. I walked to the backyard and saw Nia stretching our clothes. She probably washed them.
