Chapter 3

996 Words
Jay I walk into the graduation dinner and I see the guy from the club last night. Oh no, this can’t be. The only people supposedly at this dinner is family. That means that hottie is someone family in this room. I know it isn’t Jaime, I’m her family. As far as I know Keira and Kevin only have their mom. That means the all American hottie is a Case. Laura, who is Adam’s mom has three sons. I met Adam and Austin, but I have never met the oldest son since he was away at school. I go over say my hellos to Keira and the rest the new high school graduates. Then I go over to Laura and her husband Stephen. “Laura darling, congrats on getting your youngest out in the adult world now.” I tell her giving her a hug. “Thank you Jay!” Laura says to me giving me a hug back. I hold my hand out to her husband, Stephan “Stevie, I know you are proud of your boy.” “I’m very proud, thank you Jay.” He says as he shakes my hand. I sit down next to them and can see Mr Hottie is looking at me. “So I see Austin made it in for Adam’s graduation. Did your other son come in for this momentous occasion?” I ask her, praying she doesn’t say the name I know is the Mr Hottie’s name. “Yes, Evan is here, he just over there next to Austin.” Laura said. Shit! It is Mr Hottie, that’s Evan, Laura’s oldest son. The one I know who hasn’t come out the closet and isn’t sure about his s****l identity. Just great, I guess I’m gonna be living something from the movie, ‘Some Like it Hot’ moment now. Only instead of Evan hiding as a woman to escape the mob like Tony Curtis did. He is hiding from his parents his sexuality. Not gonna lie, I wouldn’t mind being his Marilyn Monroe if he’s my Tony Curtis. Stop Jay, I can’t go there. I always get heartbreak from ones like Evan. I won’t be his dirty secret. Especially when we would be keeping secrets from people I consider my friends. After we were done eating, I decided I better put Evan at ease. I could see as we were eating he kept looking at me thinking I’m going to spill his secret. I go over to him and act like I never met him. “Well, hello Mr All American, I don’t think we have met.” I say to Evan. “Um, no I do not think I have met you sir.” Evan says to me. Sir? Really, do I look like a old man or someone that dominates? Good lord I hope not, but I ignore it, for now. “That’s right, you two have never met! Evan this is Jay, he is mom’s hair and makeup artist. And he is also responsible for Keira and Adam getting together.” Austin says clapping me on my back. “ I thought Adam and Keira have known each other since they were kids. Isn’t she Kevins twin sister?” Evan asks confused. “Yes, sweetie that is true. I just gave Keira a new hairstyle and haircut plus I might’ve helped her a little bit and some different clothing choices that got stud muffin, your brother’s, attention.” I tell him. “I see.” Evan says to me. “Yeah, I’m just the fairy godfather here for them.” I laugh. “That he is, if you excuse me. I got talk to my dad about something.” Austin says excusing himself leaving just me and Evan. “I’m Jay” I tell Evan. Evan smiles and says “I’m Evan, The oldest brother of Adam and Austin” “ The oldest brother. That has a lot of responsibility. From what I know you are supposed to take over for your father when he finally retires. I imagine that’s of a lot of responsibility for you and a lot of stress.” “Thank you.” Whispered Evan to me. “Sure, don’t worry, I was surprised as you were.” I whisper to him. Evan’s hand touches my chest “I’m glad I could see you again, even if it was a surprise.” Evan whispers. ———— Evan I forgot myself for a moment standing next to Jay. I was touching him and at any moment anybody could look over and wonder what was going on. This is not the place for me to say hey I might be gay. So I took my hand away from him and cleared my throat. Jay smiled at me and reached for his wallet. “ I do have to give something to Keira, but I do men’s haircuts as well as women at my salon let me give you my card if you ever are in the need to do something with your do.” He says to me. He hands me his card. I take it from him and I noticed it had his personal cell phone on it. He must of noticed me looking at it so he said “ I don’t give these cards out to just anyone. They are for exclusive clients like your mother.” “ I see. So you have many clients like my mother?” I ask him. “ A few especially the women who need make up done for special events, yes. If you excuse me let me get this over to Keira. It’s a special gift she wants to give to your brother.” He says. I watched Jay walk away and go over to Keira. He really is a handsome man. I look down at his business card and think maybe later on I will give him a little text and just see.
