Sedrick:
I don’t think that work can get any more boring. Paperwork is the worst part of being an Alpha. Anytime someone new enters the pack or leaves the pack you have to fill out twenty pages of information on it. I know it is important but dang.
It doesn’t help that I can’t stop thinking about Astrid. I know for sure that is her name now. I only called the store like a stalker to ask a dumb question to get her name. Her voices sounds even sweeter over the phone. So innocent and soft, just like her body. I can’t get it out of my mind. I am like some dumb high school kid fantasizing about the girl sitting next to me. I am going soft and I don’t like it.
I have had multiple encounter with Star this week and each time, I have to imagine my mate to get off. I hate having to do that. Just looking at Star, once gave me a massive hard on but now... Now, her smell irritates me. Hell, even her fake nails annoy me.
My wolf, Blaze, has also cut me off more and more. He still allows me to shift when I need to but he won’t let me have conversations with him anymore. He wants to see her. I hate to admit it but so do I. I may make up an excuse to just go down there and see her one more time. Then I will come home and mark Star. This whole thing will be done and over with.
I know that Seb will be pissed at me but it’s for the best. The pack loves Star. She will be a great Luna for us.
That’s it. Appling is five hours away. I think I will make a quick trip to Augusta for the weekend, I will just tell Seb that I need to blow off some steam. I will take Eric, our Gamma, with me. He is always my wingman and a great add on. He won’t snitch on me for leaving him at the hotel. I just need to find Seb and tell him. He is probably still in the office.
As I walk up to the office, I quickly knock and Seb yells for me to come in. “Hey, I need to blow off some steam this weekend. All of this paperwork has my brain friend. I am going to take Eric and hit up Augusta for the weekend.”
“Augusta? What are you going to do in Augusta? Golf?” Why does he look at me like that. I know Augusta isn’t the most happening place but damn.
“Yeah, I was actually thinking of hitting a driving range but I mostly just want to check the area out. It seems to be growing rapidly and might make for some good business ventures” Got him.
“Yeah, okay, that sounds good man. Have fun!”
The hard part is done and now I just need to grab Eric and hit the road. I hope she is working tonight so I can just grab her after work. Take her to dinner or something. Five hours and counting.
Astrid:
Thank god, it’s Friday. People have been straight up crazy this week. I know it’s almost golf time but these people have lost their minds. I work shift tonight and then I am off until Sunday night. I need it too. I have been having the strangest dreams.
It is always the same dream. It starts off with me laying in bed and this man shaped grey mist is standing there saying that he is coming for me. He is going to save me but I don’t know what he is saving me from. I wake up in a straight up panic. I am always drenched in sweat and shaking. I have had to wash my sheets four times this week already. This is getting to be ridiculous.
There worst part about workin at the gas station is that Fridays are always super busy but that is also good because it goes super fast. I have twenty minutes before the end of my shift and then I am free!
I hear the bell above the door chime and I turn to do my normal “Hey, how are ya?” And it’s him. It’s my mystery man. I suddenly can’t talk. No words will form. Get it together, Astrid!
“Hello, can I get $15 on pump five and, possibly, your phone number?” Ah, that smile. He is a god. He is a literal god. Wait! What did he just say to me? I quickly look around to make sure he is talking to me. “I am sorry?”
“I would like have your phone number so I can take you on a date one day. Is that okay?”
Hell yes it is! “Oh, of course. I would love that.” I quickly jot down my phone number and hand it to him with his receipt. s**t, what do I say? “What is your name?”
“Sedrick” Even his name is cool. I feel like an i***t teenager. I am not acting like a 22 year old but shoot me. He is amazing and his name is super sexy.
Before I know it, my phone is alerting me to a text. I pull it out and it is from an unknown number. “Would you like to get dinner with me tonight?” I quickly reply back with “I would love too. I get off in five minutes. Do you want to meet somewhere?”
I am not about to let this guy know where I live. That would be crazy. Stranger danger. I have zero people to tell that I am going out with a complete stranger though so if anything does happen to me no one will know.
“How about Chili’s on Robert C Daniels?” “Meet you there in an hour.” I have exactly one hour to get ready for a date that I have no business going on. What on earth could he possibly see in me? He looks like a Greek God and I look like your average plus-sized woman.
I run home, jump in the shower, and pray for the best. I pick out my favorite outfit. It’s a pair of skinny jeans from Walmart that hide my stomach and a stretchy t-shirt with a cardigan thrown over it. I look adorable in it and with my brown gladiator sandals, it is the perfect fall outfit. I apply makeup and a red lipstick. I think I look pretty dang good.
I hope that traffic isn’t too bad. I only have 20 minutes to make it there. It’s Friday night so of course traffic is bad. What was I thinking. I quickly had to text him that I almost there. He didn’t seem to care so that’s good or maybe he is standing me up. Don’t think like that, Astrid. Get it together!
I pull up and there he is. He changed into tight jeans and a black t-shirt that leaves nothing to the imagination. I could bounce a quarter off of this mans abs. He is standing there with his hands in his pocket with a big smile on his face. Take me now!
“Hey gorgeous. You look great.”
“Thank you! You look very handsome tonight.” He took me by the hand and led me inside. He already had a table for us. That is so sweet! He pulled out my chair even. I have never had that happen to me before.
“Thank you for inviting me out tonight. I was shocked to see you in the gas station again. Did you just move here?”
“Oh no, I would never live here. I am just here on business.”
Okay, so he doesn’t live here and he doesn’t want to. This is starting out just great. Thankfully, the conversation picked up from there and we ordered food. It seems like we are having a great time. He has a twin brother that he does everything with. They even work together. That is crazy lucky. They seem to run big family business. That is really nice. To have a big family like that around.
Before I know it, I am being walked out to my car. I do not want this evening to end. I am having the best time. I still can’t believe that this is happening.
“Thank you for agreeing to come out with me, Astrid. You have been great to talk to.” He just melted my heart. I think he is leaning in for a kiss!
He has the softest lips ever. They are moving perfectly and his hand is snaking it’s way up my middle back. I love to feel him pull me closer to him. Then, he slowly pulls away. We are both a little taken, I think. “Thank you, for every..” And his lips are against mine again. This time it’s harder. He is kissing me intently. I feel tingles all over my body. I have this need for him. I can feel my womanhood vibrate with anticipation.
