I felt the pain Kristine felt at having her siblings so close to her, but I could not see another option. We needed to keep them close, in the event they heard from this Matt. I did not know whether I believed them or not, but I could not take any chances of letting them get away from us. I would have wolves guarding them while they were in our territory.
Kristine’s father, Seth, asked a valid question. What did they want? Mike looked at Brittany before turning his gaze on Seth, “We want our rightful birthright,” Mike replied. Kristine’s mother gasped, as her father simply stared at them. “There is no proof that you are mine,” he replied coldly.
