Chapter 24

When we were thirty minutes away from my apartment, I took a right turn heading towards the super market. We had to but groceries before anything.

“So anything that you want, threw it in the trolley.” I told Charlotte as we walked down the aisle, she walked beside me exchanging little chit chat.

I threw in a couple of cereal boxes, then we made our way to the other one, where Charlotte threw in a lot of juices. I gave up trying to tell her that it was too much because everyone kept looking at us and I didn’t want unnecessary attention.

“That’s it? We done.” I glared at her as we were walking to the Cashier, “Yes we are, now we can go get my stuff.” more walking and carrying stuff, what fun.

We placed the plastic bags in the boot of the car before we drove off to the direction of the university campus. It was thirty something minutes away from the super market and twenty minutes away from my apartment.

I parked the car right Infront of the dorm’s entrance, I followed Charlotte behind as we went up the stairs. She used to sleep on the third floor, the every last.

When we reached the floor, we walked over to her old room, M-004. She turned the door knob after unlocking it, I took a step into the well sized room. All the memories we had here, the drunk sleep overs and the times we spent with Vanessa her roomie, a smile came across my face.

“So, where is Vanessa. Did you tell her?” I asked sitting down on her bed, previous I guess. “Yeah, and she found a new roomie but will still miss us.” I nodded my head then laid back on the bed, it would take a while for her to finish packing.

While I was still waiting for Charlotte, the door opened. Both I and Charlotte’s eyes look towards the door, my eyes grew surprised as Eliza walked through the door. At first she didn’t notice my there but when a smile came across her face, “Fancy seeing you here and on my bed.” Elizabeth walked over to us.

“Hie, I’m Elizabeth walker. You must be Charlotte, Vanessa told me about you.” they shook hands. “You’re that freshman Lizzy right, I’ve met you before.” Charlotte asked and in return she got a nod.

I cleared my throat trying to get their attention, I was also here. Lizzy turned and faced me, “Hello there Chocolate cake, did you miss me.” She gave me a side smirk and sat down on Vanessa’s bed. “I did not, sadly.” I pouted, I saw Charlotte giving me signals to explain I ignored.

“Lizzy how do you know this fool?” after her attempt to get answers out of me, Charlotte asked Lizzy instead. “I met her at my best friend’s house, the were making out like crazy.” I could see the surprise on carrot’s face. She whispered something that I couldn’t get.

“Sorru for the questions but who is your best friend?” Lizzy thought hard about it before she opened her mouth to speak. “Uh, are you guys a couple?” I was taken back, me and Char weren’t a couple, we never looked like one, maybe only a couple of besties.

“Oh no no no, you got this wrong. She’s my best friend.” I spoke in a rush, Lizzy had to erase that thought out of her head. “Oooh sorry, you just look good together and cute. Ruby was making out with Esther the day I met her.” she winked at me before her eyes met Charlotte.

“So you’re the girl that disturbed their fun, she left her sexually frustrated since then.” They both laughed while I huffed, these two together would not be nice.

“And we don’t look cute or like a couple together, she would even be lucky if she ever got some from me.” both girls broke into laughter again once Charlotte mocked me.

It took a lot longer than expected for us to reach the apartment, Charlotte started Chilling with Lizzy for quiet some time. But I finally convinced her we should leave and get ready, the drive to the apartment complex didn’t take long, we were soon up and about unpacking and getting settled.

Charlotte was in her room while I made us some late lunch, which was probably our dinner anyway, chips with chicken. Charlotte came into view a while after I called for her, we sat and ate our chips.

“What now?” She asked as we sat on the couch doing nothing, my head turned facing her. I smirked devilishly as a thought came through my mind, I moved closer to her she didn’t flinch a bit. I opened my mouth with a smirk on my lips, “We’ll make out now.” my voice was only a whisper but the way she jumped off the couch, it looked like lightening was about to strike her.

I got up walking towards her but her body kept moving backwards till it started running towards the rooms, “Char, just one tiny little long kiss. You did say I’m sexually frustrated, why don’t you help, best friends help each right.” I screamed on top of my voice as I ran after her.

“Hell no Ruby. Get the hell away from me.” she got closer to her room, once she was inand saw me inches away she slammed the door in my face and I immediately started laughing my lungs out. This would definitely be the funniest semester I would have and the longest night I would irritate her.

my laughter started fading away, I grabbed the knob of the door but it wouldn’t open, she must have locked it. I got closer to the door and shouted, “Oh my love, I have spare keys.” a grin came on my face as I took the spare keys out, playing with them in my hand.
