Chapter 18

I and Charlotte both turned our heads when we heard the door open, two figures walked in with bag packs strapped to there backs, both the girls I had a crush on looked astounding.

Esther in a Jean short that stopped midway her thighs with a sizable black shirt while Eunice had on a purple skirt, just like Charlotte’s but a bit longer with a light blue vest.

“I did tell you guys I’m homosexual, right?” ‘cause it seemed they didn’t know, Charlotte gave me a side glare before turning back to the girls and leading them where the bags could stay, I just wanted to know geez.

They both returned and sat down, Charlotte sat with me which was great, no one would sit with me.

“So what are we doing first.” Eunice asked her eyes on me then the other two pairs of eyes looked at me. “Carrot why are you looking at me, you planned this. Tell us all what’s happening.”

“Don’t call me carrot again or else.” I looked at her surprised, was she really trying to threaten me, how cute. “Or else what—” I paused then gave her a smirk, “Carrot.”

“I’m going to kill you today you fool.” I felt her hand grip my shirt throwing both of us to the floor, her face was full of rage and annoyance, I started laughing while Charlotte was trying to strangle me and Eunice as well as Esther were pulling her off me, it looked like I and Charlotte were in a Cat fight.

Out of all the commotion I finally stopped laughing, I spoke as loudly as I could. “Remember yesterday Carrot? Are you going to kill me like yesterday.” She stopped her struggling in their hands but her hands were still intact with my shirt.

“Don’t you f*****g dare Ruby King.” she slowly let go of my shirt freeing herself from Esther’s and Eunice’s grip.

“Okay I won’t.” I raised myself resting on the floor with my elbows. “Unless you’re still on top of me in three seconds then its...” my voiced trailed off as I broke into laughter, Charlotte had jumped off my body to the ground, this girl really didn’t want me to kiss her.

“Shut it.” she sat back on the couch kicking my foot, I however was still laughing on the floor.

“What ever happened, I thought Rue was a gonna.” I heard Esther speaking, my laughter fading off till I stopped and sat up. “Never in a million light years, will carrot ever kill me.” from the corner of my eye I saw her crench her teeth in annoyance, it was so satisfying.

“She would have, if it weren’t for whatever happened yesterday. So what scared her so much.” Eunice asked curiously in her tone, if I told them carrot would be an annoyed carrot which was fun.

I opened my mouth to speak, my eyes still studying Charlotte. “You know the usual, I—” My words stopped abruptly as I felt hands cover my mouth, of course it was Charlotte.

“Tell them and I’ll slit your throat while you sleep.” She whispered in my ear, it was always all fun and games with Charlotte but her tone sounded really serious.

I grabbed my neck in panic as my eyes wandered in shock, I quickly recovered she wasn’t going to kill me, she was bluffing.

I licked the inside of her palm, she quickly took it off then wiped my saliva off. I turned my gaze back to the two whose eyes were darted on us, I gave them a light smile then spoke. “I bet her at her own game, she also tried to kill me.”

“You two try to kill eachother often?” Esther asked and Eunice was also intrigued, she looked between us then lent out her ear to here the response.

“Yep. Only on her good days she doesn’t try to kill me.” I paused then looked at Charlotte on the couch, her legs were spread through the whole two seat. I definitely wasn’t allowed back on there, the floor it was.

“She hasn’t been getting some lately, if you know what I mean.” I winked at them both before I felt a kick on my head, “Ouch.” I rubbed the back of my aching head, she just hissed.

Esther gave us an amused glare before clearly her throat, getting both our attention she spoke. “We would like to get through today without a murder case, Rue shut it and Char contain yourself. What are we doing first?” We all looked at Charlotte waiting for her reply.

Charlotte looked at me then huffed, turning her eyes away from me they landed on Esther and Eunice. “Well, I was thinking we go swim or go out, anything.” her voice was so juvenile, it missed all hint of the psychopath that tried to kill me.

“I second swimming, it’s hot out.” Eunice spoke abruptly. “I third that.” Esther agreed too, Charlotte stood on her feet clapping her hands together, she spoke. “So it’s agreed, we’re going to the pool out back.”

“Wait. I didn’t fourth it.” I pouted crossing my arms Infront of my chest.

“So, Your option wasn’t needed. Girls shall we?” Charlotte glared at me the whole time, damn she was dramatic. They left for my room to change, I stayed behind I wasn’t going to be watching them strip.

“You’re really not going to swim?” Eunice asked as the three descended from the stairs, my eyes travelled from her body to Esther’s, Charlotte was my bestie so no checking her out though her body was perfect.

I walked over to the stairs standing only inches away from Charlotte, I placed my arm over her bare shoulders.

“I am just didn’t want to see you guys strip, though it would have been a lovely—” I groaned in pain as I felt Char’s elbow hit the side my stomach, she could be a real b***h sometimes. I gave her a fake smile before drawing my arm from her shoulder, “See you in a few.” I ascended up the stairs.

I walked out the back down with my over sized purple shirt, it stopped midway through my thighs. Underneath I had on my Black boxer shorts and a sports bra. All of them where in the water enjoying themselves, they both were laughing at I don’t know what.

Esther’s perfectly tanned skin complexion got out of the water, her wet brown hair resting on her shoulder, the bikini exposed her glorious body as she walked passed me into the house. I swallowed hard as I prevented my eyes from staring, I finally got my legs to move towards the pool.

Eunice sat on the edge of the pool, her legs moving about in the water. My eyes travelled from her toned belly to her perfectly tanned body, my light brown skinned didn’t stand out as much.

I sat down beside her my legs into the cool water, she gave a smile before she continued kicking the water. My eyes darted on my bestie in the water who seemed to be floating on the surface, her short had rolled up her body exposing thighs.

Charlotte’s forefathers were Mexican, not my thoughts but herself. They migrate from Mexico blah blah, fast forward to now, her mother was partly Mexican despite never being there and her dad was white, Charlotte took her mother’s skin complexion, which was a bit tanned just like Eunice’s. She had blue eyes and light black hair, her father’s figures.

Out of all the girls, my hair wasn’t straight like myself, I always maintained my curly hair I liked it like that, it was short above my shoulders and light brown.

“I brought drinks.” Esther walked over to the pool with a tray of orange juice. Charlotte swam over to the edge of the pool, but before grabbing her glass she glared at me then pulled my dry body into the water.

I emerged from the water my clothes wet to the bone, I swam to the edge of the pool and got out, water dripping from my body to the ground, I glared at Charlotte who was seated on the chair with a smirk on her lips she drunk from her glass. I growled then took off my shirt then through it to the ground, I sat down beside Eunice taking my glass into my hands.

After I finished my juice, I waited a minute or so then stood up walking towards Charlotte. Before she could protest, I carried her in my arms, oh I did not forget. I jumped into the water while Charlotte was in my arms, damn was she pissed I started giggling.

Charlotte splashed me with water, so it was water war. I splashed her back then both Eunice and Esther jumped into the water, splashing us I almost choked on the water.

The day passed by quicker then I anticipated but it was full of laughter and a lot of me drowning in the water. Annie never came home and I got a text from mum saying dad won’t be home and Annie is having a sleep over with grace, which met the house to us.

We were currently now in my room dinner had ended a while ago, I got a bottle of whiskey from my dad’s office cabinet, we sat on the floor in a circle.

Charlotte suggested we played truth or dare, I objected but no they didn’t listen, the whiskey was to make things interesting.

The bottle pointed towards me, “Okay Rue, truth or dare.” Esther asked, “Dare.” I said my voice had a hint of regret, Esther rubbed her palms together like she was planning someone’s murder.

“I know you’ve kissed all of us so, I dare you to point out which one was the best.”

Both there eyes were on me, this is why I didn’t want to play truth or dare with straight girls. “Can’t I take a shot on this?” they both nodded there head no, I’ve been taking shots instead of actually saying the truth or doing it, it was risky.

I rubbed the back of my neck, “The kiss between you and me.” I stared at my crossed legs, I should have said the kiss with Eunice but it would be weirder and with Charlotte she would strangle me.

They both stared at me surprised apart from Charlotte. The game continued and the bottle landed on Eunice, Charlotte had the devil’s grim. “I dare you to kiss Esther.”

My eyes grew surprised. Oh, hell no, woman.
