Chapter 11

I turned over, my body tangled with the bedsheet. I turned my head away from the illuminating light, the second I turned my head pain shot through. I growl effortlessly digging my head deeper into the pillow.

I drew myself out of the pillow when I felt something move to my left, if it wasn’t for the pain I was feeling, I would have shouted.

My eyes caught a glimpse of a uncovered body, the bedsheet were wrapped around her thighs then it ran up butt. Her whole back was exposed, her hands were tucked under her pillow.

Why was I sleeping in bed with a naked girl, unless. I quickly looked down on myself, I was freaking naked. This would definitely be a problem, I slipped myself quiet out of the bed.

My efforts of being quiet failed miserably, I tripped on the mat that lead to a loud noise of my body falling and her waking up.

Her head popped up from the bed looking down on me, her smile widened when she saw me rubbing my knee. “Good morning, not very good at sneaking out, are you?”

“Not once. Good morning.” I got up from the floor and threw my shirt on, now I just had to find my shorts. I walked over to other side of the room, gently kneeing down I grab the shorts.

“So there have been may times?” The girl asked as I slipped on my shorts, once I was done I looked at her. The bedsheet now fully covered her body, one of her arm was lean against the pillow with her head on top.

“Probably.” I sat down on the bed putting my shoes on.

She didn’t say anything else till I was done wearing my shoes, I looked back at her finding her eyes, they pierced through mine.

I roughly cleared my throat, I needed water. “Look, uh—” my words trailed off, I didn’t remember her name, f**k.

She gave me a knowing smirk, stretching out her hand to greet me. “My name is Eunice Johnson.” I instantly froze, She was Noah’s sister.

“Noah’s sister?” I blurted out the question my hand still in firm in hers, She gave me a slight head nod yes. Just what I needed, to get involved with my bestie’s boyfriend’s sister.

“How old are you Eunice?” my tone sounded serious and dry, it even scared the s**t out of me. She looked down withdrawing her hand from mine. “Eighteen.”

“Turning nineteen soon?” I looked into her eyes trying to find truth, if it she was nineteen that meant she was in college right, that meant I had slept with his younger sister but she was in college, she was an adult.

“If by soon you mean next year August, then yeah. Soon.” she wore a shy smile across her face.

“You’re f*****g seventeen Eunice, you’re still seventeen and in highschool.” and Noah’s younger sister, just my luck. I ran my fingers through my hair, then I got an idea. “Look Eunice, all this was a drunken mistake. I didn’t know you were a highschool kid, I’m sorry for any inconvenience but this can’t ever happen again.”

I started to get off the bed but Eunice grabbed my wrist, I was forced to look at her, her ocean blue eyes burning through mine.

“Why can’t this ever happen again, I enjoyed myself.”

“Because your bother is dating my best friend and I would like not to be monitored if I was f*****g his sister. Plus the fact that I’m in college and you’re a minor Eunice.” She let go of my arm before she sat upright, holding the bedsheet to her chest.

“I’m turning eighteen soon, and Noah will be okay about it, he would be thrilled.” She wore a bright smile across her face, if only she knew I tired to kill her brother.

“That’s three months away and Noah would not.” I Got off the bed and started to walk towards the door.

“Can I at least know your name?” Eunice asked all the way from the bed as I was opening the door, I turned and looked at her, her eyes were pleading.

I sighed, “I’m Ruby.” I gave her a weak smiled then walked out of the room.

while walking down the hallway, I stumbled upon a lot trash, there were cups everywhere. I even found a guys passed on the steps, how far did people party.

I was now walking through the living room, I still needed water. I poured myself a full glasses of water then drunk.

I was sitting on the kitchen counter with the cup in my hands, just swerving my legs back and forth, and thinking.

“Still here?” I frowned when I saw who said it, She walked over to the fridge grabbing herself juice.

“Yeah, just waiting for Charlotte to show up.” I looked at her from the corner of my eyes, her shirt hang just below the middle of her thighs.

Lean against the counter she began to drink her juice. “Bummer you left in a hurry, we could have had a good time.”

“Eunice.” I said in a firm voice, my eyes met hers, she lowered the bottle from her lips.

“Yeah yeah, I know. Never speak of it.” She paused then took a sip of her drink, “I just thought you’d give me a chance.” She whispered, I barely heated her.

She lowered her gaze to the floor, I placed the glass cup down before placing my hand on her shoulder.

“Eunice look. I’m not your ideal girlfriend type, I’m so closed off ‘till the point my own mother wants to give up, I barely speak to my father and I never hold a conversation with my little sister. I neglect everything around me and if I were to ever be your girlfriend or anything more that a friend, I know you wouldn’t be happy with me. You deserve a lot better.” I removed my hand from her shoulder, placing them both on the edge of counter.

I kept staring down at the kitchen tiles, I could feel Eunice staring at me. She remained silent for a really long time and I knew why, she pited me, I want nothing of that. “Please don’t.” I managed to break the silence.

“Don’t what?” the sound of her tone left me puzzled, she sounded as though she was worried, she had no right to be.

“Pity me, don’t.” I paused before sitting upright, I placed my hand together. “Anyway, let’s talk about something else.” I stared directly into her eyes, the look she had on amazed me.

“Like what?” I could hear the excitement in her voice, this was definitely going to be a great way to start the morning.

“How about a friendly conversation between friends, anything.” Eunice sat on the counter with me and I could see her smile wonder across her face, I gave her a side smirk.
