Visiting an old friend

My wolf never seems to amaze me! Mae is one of the fastest she-wolf from my old pack! Oh goddess, that sounds so weird. I outrun Jack and outsmarted him. He was getting close but Mae took a few turns and lost him. They eventually lost my scent when Mae jumped into a dam and covered herself in mud. I’m technically a rogue now until I find a pack to pledge my loyalty to before I become feral.

I had checked into a hotel and paid cash so they couldn’t trace me. I left all my ID and cards there. I no longer wanted to be associated with Moon Shine Pack or the name Alyra Hannah! I checked in as Emma Stone, the girl at the front desk asked me for ID but I told her I lost my purse and just needed somewhere to stay. The Manager on duty came over and gave me look, I could smell he wasn’t human and took me into his office. Great! Nothing can be easy!

“Now let’s get one thing straight, Im not covering for you. If someone comes looking for you, I will not lie, I cannot lie, I am part fairy. You can stay one night, be gone before midday tomorrow” “ thank you sir, I’ll be gone before then” I slowly took the keys from him and headed to my room. I’ve never met a fairy before! I was on the outskirts of Melbourne in a town called Wallan, I wasn’t far from my friend Joel who lived around here but I need to keep Mae safe and stay in human form as we approach the city. I didn’t know where his territory was.. they called it the Hidden Valley Pack! I wanted to ask the fairy if he knew of it but I didn’t want to give out information he could use against me if someone came looking for me.

I headed down to the local supermarket and purchased a burner phone so I could make some calls. I call Mila first, she answered on the first ring like she had been waiting “hello, hello?”

I decide to use our safe word to see if it’s safe to talk “Coco Loco”

“Coco Loco! Babe are you ok? I’ve been waiting for you to call what’s taken so long?”

“I’m ok Mila how are you? Did they torture you? I wish you had come with me. Jack was so angry he caught up to me but Mae lost him”

“Babe I’m ok, Alpha Ritchie commanded Jack to stand down. He was going to throw me in the cells. Ummm I have some news”

“What news? What’s going on you sound heartbroken?”

“Nanny G passed away the day after you left. She left me a letter and a contact number from the Luna at her old pack”

“The Black Moon Pack? I squeeled, I was hoping Joel could get me a meeting with Luna Layla as they are allies!

“Yes, Luna Layla has said she will take Jesse and I into their pack, I’m scare Al. What do I do?”

“call her and move, I’m meeting Joel tomorrow hopefully if I can reach him! I’m asking him to get me a meeting with Luna Layla to join their pack. Your Nanny G told me wonderful stories of her old pack and something is pulling me there”

“How do I leave my dad? He will never let me leave”

“Tell him you are going to visit your cousin Summer in Adelaide for the school holidays. He will allow it as it’s his niece. Get Fred to drive you to the airport and make a detour to Black Moon. They have a witch their that can alter his memories”

“Alyra, you are a bloody genious”

“I’ve gotta go, I’ll keep in touch. Look after yourself and give Jesse a big hug from me. I love you guys”

I hang up and smiled! I was getting my best friend back! I know she can do it!

Now I need to get in contact with Joel, how the hell do you find out his contact number? Last time we spoke he was telling me about some social media platform Face Story? Face time? No that’s not it. Goddess help me!

I start searching his name, Joel Beard. His picture comes up with f*******:! Aghhh that’s what’s it’s called! Ok. So now I need a number, I go to his about me and find his number and dial it? How can it be this easy? Goddess I love you.

“Hello, this is Joel”

“Joel, it’s Alyra thank god I found you”

“Alyra, everyone is looking for you. We got an alert saying you were missing and to contact Alpha Ritchie immediately. I’ve been worried sick are you ok?”

“ I don’t have much time to explain, I’m not sure who’s around that can hear! Can you meet me at the Hotel of Wallan at 8am?”

“Yes I can, I can come now if you need me? Are you ok though? I take it you ran away and are not kidnapped like they are saying?”

“I’m fine! I ran away. Come now if you can, make sure you are not followed. I’ll explain to you in person, I’m in room 204”

I took a quick shower and washed my hair, Joel knocked 3 times to let me know it was him. I opened the door and gave him the biggest hug and broke down in his arms.

“He tried to mark me forcibly Joel, he said whether I liked it or not, I was losing my virginity on my birthday! I couldn’t stay! I just couldn’t. My parents were forcing me to choose Jack as my chosen mate”

“Ratbags all of them! You did the right thing Alyra, but I can’t take you to my pack, we are an alliance to Moon Shine.”

“I need you to contact Luna Layla and have her meet us, I want to join Black Moon pack. Mila is coming too, it’s just a little complicated at the moment for her, we have a cover story for her to make her way down here, she just needs time”

“Done! I can call Luna Layla but Alpha Stuck up won’t like it” I giggled and remembered the history between Luna Layla’s youngest daughter Sylvia and Joel. I’m sure Alpha Ryan is not a fan of his but he would much rather him call the Luna and not his daughter.

Joel stayed the night with me, he was like my big brother. We met 2 years ago at Jacks 16th Birthday that the Moon Shine Pack hosted. We get our wolves at 16 it’s a big deal especially for the future Alpha. Come to think of it, why wasn’t Hidden Valley Pack invited to my 18th Party knowing Joel was a good friend? “Joel, why were you not at my party?” “We we’re not invited! We think it’s because your mum didn’t want to risk me being your mate” that sounds about right! The more I think about my parents, the more I hate them! How could they be this cruel to their own daughter? Is power really more important than love?

I woke up at 6am and put the kettle on! I needed coffee and I need a lot of it. Mae is itching for a run, but we can’t risk being seen outside in the human world and there’s no way I could go to Joel’s pack being an ally to Moon Shine. I needed to stay here until we figured out a way to get a meeting with Luna Layla. Joel woke up looking kinda hot! Why have I never been attracted to this amazingly good looking wolf. Like honestly he’s amazing and is of Alpha Blood. One day he will have his own pack and make the best Alpha! There’s a neighbouring pack involved in some shady business that his brother Cole is gathering evidence to take them down and give the alpha position to Joel. I would be apart of his pack in a heart beat! Maybe he would make me his Beta. What the hell was I thinking? Females were not Betas. Only the mate of a Beta! Argh I hate this idiotic rule!

Joel’s phone has been going off all morning. I wonder who it is. He finally answers it and takes the call outside. I heard a female voice. I tried to listen in but he was too far away. I checked in with Mae but she was fading.

“Mae, what’s wrong? Our connection feels distant” “we need a new pack Alyra and fast, I don’t know how long I can stay low for. Im turning feral. It’s been 4 days without a pack. It takes 7 days to become fully Rogue”

Joel walked back in with a worrying look on his face. “We need to go, now!” “Why, what’s wrong?” Joel didn’t answer me, I grabbed my bag and made sure I hadn’t left anything behind. I thanked the manager and he winked!

“Get in the car and hurry!”

“Joel, where are we going?”
