Prologue
Sofie Pov
"There! You're all set, Sofie"
I look into the mirror at the lady in front of me and smile.
"Aren't you a cupcake now?" My friend, Lola, said as she lowered her head, her jaw relaxing on my shoulder as we both look into the mirror.
"I sure am" I say and we both laugh as she pecked me lightly.
"Have Mike said anything, yet?" I ask as I rub my puff on the powder's surface on the table and then pounced it on my face.
"He's yet to. Don't worry, he ain't going anywhere" Lola said and I chuckled.
"Yeah right"
I relax on my cheek the puff of pink powder and spread it lightly, making my cheek to look pink.
Then, the door leading to the make up room bursts opens and every lady in the room, turns to know who the person or people are.
Guys came in and each of them went to each lady in the room.
Except me of course.
I catch a glimpse of Lola and a guy, name is Mike, giggling in a type of disgusting manner.
Disgusting for me but maybe not for people who thinks it's not.
I smile and give her a thumbs up from the mirror and she smiled at the reflection.
Sofia Darel is my name and I am a college student of Twenty one.
I am yet to get into my third and last year in the university, before moving fully out of college into my dream, as a dancer.
I love dancing and I have been trying to make it work ever since I was ten, I kinda like it so...
I watch as the other girls make love to the guys in here, but I do well to mind my own business.
"Well, well. Sofie Darel"
Oh well, guess another guy have located me.
P.S: I don't do love.
"Hi James, how's life?" I ask, trying to fix my eye pencil.
"How does it seem?" He ask as he relied on the table with his elbow. He is facing me and smiling weirdly.
I place my make up things down and then turned to face him.
"What do you want now?" I ask and he smirked.
"Wanted you to come to my table for tonight" he said and I chuckled.
"You can't force me" I say and the smirk turned devilish.
"Oh yeah I can" he said and stood, smacking my back lightly and heading upto another girl.
I stare at his back and sigh in deeply.
I hear the roaring on stage as drunken men called for more dancers, I guess.
I look up at another guy behind me. I can see his reflection through the mirror.
He can be a bit annoying with his smile, so I just smile and stand up form the make up seat, heading out of the room.
I am a college student who have a life as anyone else.
An orphan, as of age 17 and since then I have learnt to cater for myself. Which is good.
"Next, more dancers... Coming up"
I watch as my group come out of the room and heading to the stage.
Well, here goes nothing.
