Kaisley Witsney came from a neither poor nor rich family, but she was only seven years old when her father had an accident and died. Extreme grief affected Kaisley's mother and Kaisley did not fully realize that over three years, her mother could easily move on and find a new partner. Her mother had three children and as a result, Kaisley decided to support herself and provide her own education expenses. Even though everything that happened to Kaisley was painful, she chose to make everything she went through a dream come true. But, destiny is very stingy with Kaisley. When Kaisley ignored all the complicated things that happened in her life, she was given another problem. Fortunately, Kaisley grew up brave and resilient despite all the tragedies she experienced.
The door to the room where Kaisley was staying suddenly opened. Nick came in with a bunch of keys, a leather jacket and a black helmet oh his hand.
"I know that this room is yours, but it's still wrong for you to just come in without knocking." Kaisley was forced to enter the young man's room.
Nick didn't seem to hear what Kaisley had said or Nick just ignored Kaisley's words because Nick just smirk at her. "Miss Witsney, don't you think you are the most calm of all wanted in the Philippines? What do you think?"
Kaisley glared at Nick. If she hadn't just asked for help here, various words might have come out of Kaisley's mouth to curse the young man standing infront of her.
"Do I look calm to you? Do I look fresh? My brain is almost dry thinking about how I can give the film to the police without them suspecting me as a killer."
Kaisley heard Nick's deep sigh. "Just to let you know, the coffee shop is closed now because of you. People will definitely suspect if Joe and I do not open. We have decided that he will take care of the shop first while I am busy with the case. I have the key to the shop, so we have to go to the shop whether you like it or not."
Kaisley must have been deaf to everything she heard because she was no longer sure if what she heard from Nick was right or wrong. Kaisley could not answer the young man because she is still processing everything in her brain.
"What? What if those men that chasing me, see and catch us?"
"Heh. You can't just hide here for the rest of your life. So to make it easier for you to end this hide and seek of you, we need to know whose behind these whole thing."
Kaisley had already figured out what Nick wanted to convey to her. Kaisley does not know if what is in the young man's mind and plan right now is wrong, but Kaisley also cannot change what he decides. So Kaisley decided to just trust him while giving herself a deep sigh.
"Okay. In that case, can you come out? So, I can get dressed?"
Nick just laughed at Kaisley because of what the girl indicated. "Why even bother to leave you alone? There is nothing good to see in you." Nick laughed before seating at the study table next to the bed Kaisley was seating on.
Kaisley did not know if she would take the young man's joke or just let it go, but Kaisley chose the third option. Kaisley is a serious person, so she knows that the young man will understand what she is going to do. Kaisley walked towards the window of the room. After that, she turned in the direction of the young man.
"I guess, it's better for me to just commit suicide than to experience everything you say." Kaisley opened the window then faced Nick again.
Kaisley simply smiled when she saw Nick suddenly standing in his seat. He frowned at Kaisley and showed the face that Kaisley first saw when they met at the coffee shop.
"Tss. Women are still a women. No fun," he said with a child tone before leaving Kaisley in the room.
When Nick came out, Kaisley couldn't help but laugh. She experiences all the struggles, but she has not really forgotten to laugh. The truth is, even though Kaisley doesn't have many friends, she is a cheerful person. Her happiness has been her key to staying strong in the face of many challenges. All that Kaisley did when she became depressed infront of Nick before was just a show to find out the personality of the man she asked for help. Kaisley is happy because even though she notices that Nick is hiding his true feelings, Kaisley still sees that he is a good person.
Kaisley walk to the big mirror and straightened her hair with a hairbrush she was holding. She wrapped it neatly and then, she adjusted the collar of her dress. She still did not change her clothes yesterday. In fact, Aisle's blood stain was still left on the hem of Kaisley's dress. She did not have a replacement because surely when she tried to return to her house to get some clothes, the police would definitely be waiting to arrest her. Kaisley remembers her mother and the step father. They are definitely angry at Kaisley again because of what they saw in the news.
With so many things running through Kaisley's mind, she let out a deep sigh. Kaisley decided to just buy new clothes if she have a chance with Nick. She looked in front of the mirror. She smiled to herself before deciding to leave the room. Kaisley's two eyebrows met when she didn't saw the young man.
Kaisley went to the kitchen, but the young man was not there either. Next, she went to the living room and there she saw Nick who seemed busy with his cellphone.
"I'm here. Are we leaving?" Kaisley asked Nick enthusiastically.
Nick turned to Kaisley, but his two eyebrows met as if wondering what Kaisley was doing.
"Why? Is something wrong with me?" Kaisley asked.
Nick just shook his head and shrugged. He stood up and faced Kaisley again. "I don't know if you will be happy with what I have to say. At the coffee shop, the black tuxedos you are saying are there again and this time, they are with Joe outside the shop 'cause they are waiting for the shop to open and drink a coffee to my shop."
Kaisley's two shoulders suddenly dropped because of what she heard. No matter how much she hid the fear on her face, Kaisley still couldn't get rid of the nervousness she felt in her system.
